I think I have solved it .... it does not seem to be a problem in the configuration, I think it was simpler .... I use all metal Heatbreak, because it seems that the PTFE tube did not fit into the Heatbreak, by a few millimeters.

cap, now everything makes more sense ... while I had to extrude forward, it worked ... the moment I had to do some retraction or stopped extruding, the material accumulated in those few millimeters that the tube did not enter PTFE, plugging the extrusion ... and incidentally towards me remembering all their dead ...

I swapped X and Z drivers, and now X is quiet again. So something's off with this specific driver. Maybe it didn't like lying in a box for two years...

I have a Railcore ZLT which is CoreXY, a Voron V0.1 - CoreXY and when the Railcore team release the BOM for the Mini, another CoreXY.

As @Phaedrux mentioned iirc, static XY and a separate moving Z.
Personally gone off of the Voron2.4 and have stripped it down to either rebuild as something else or sell. Personally do not like XY&Z on 4 rubberbands!

In the good old days (before Amazon) I once tried to get a bookshop to order 'Roarks Formulas for Stress and Strain' (which is a standard structural engineering textbook) and the assistant outright refused to search for it under engineering, insisting on looking in psychology and psychiatry and related fields. These two steps (especially printing first layer slow) made THE difference!

Had trouble with rest of the post, because of 'Post content was flagged as spam by Akismet.com'

Even if you had any clogs, the grub screw mounted heatsinks can be more easily removed, without risking to unscrew the heatbreak from the nozzle.
Works with a 50x50x10 fan (2,4W) so far and no specifically designed fan shroud.

So if anybody is thinking about a 5in1out hotend, this might be a good start.

I tried with direct drives at first (see attached pic, don't get fooled by the printing time, eeprom was deleted inbetween)
Second pic shows the bowden setup, which is easier to work with and requires no adapters.

Yes you should be able to assign it to another driver with M584 as usual.

M584 X# where # is the number of the driver you want to use from 0 to 5.

I don't see why it shouldn't work as long as you have enough drivers. Most brain is in the toolchanging macros and the tip-forming retraction macro. (they don't use a filament cutter...)

It would be interesting to have a triple selector that feeds three filaments to a mixing hotend. 😬

@o_lampe As I said, messy. The wastefulness seems to be a thing of the past, some manufacturers now make powder where they promise 100% re-usability.

Depends on your budget, but if a Bugati Byron is above your limit, maybe a Voron V0 kit?

I tried printbite some years back - didn't work for me - no matter what I did. Couldn't get parts to stick. Given how much it cost me, I was pretty pi**ed off.

Interesting! I've been using it for several years with both PLA and PETG, and it works very well with both for me.

I have a 515mm x 515mm x 540mm build volume HevORT which is printing quite well. Mostly its for larger parts where accuracy is important but fine detail isn't critical.
Yesterday i was getting 200mm/s with PLA out of the volcano hotend.

Copper tubing is easier to find than brass tube...

It might be less work to build an insulated frame with a decent chamber heater that try and retrofit a printer inside a toaster over. they may prove to be a cheap source of heating elements for the chamber heater though.
