Hello, first thanks very much that was very helpful already. Im just using the text editor from windows. I just got the printer a few days ago and didnt open the webcontrol, i still need to download it and figure out how it works and how i can update the firmware specific for the quad crane printer. but still thanks i will download that and look into it.

I just noticed that I often get an invalid password message when it disconnects. I disabled the password and this has stopped. Now, I am getting "Network error, failed to get file list." Or just "Connection Interrupted Network Erro."

That is very old firmware! I suggest you upgrade to either version 1.25RC4 available at https://github.com/dc42/RepRapFirmware/releases/tag/2.04RC4, or 1.23 from https://github.com/dc42/RepRapFirmware/releases/tag/2.02 (it says 2.02 but the build for Duet 085 is 1.23). Don't use version 1.24, it has a bug affecting delta printers.

After upgrading, re-test everything very carefully. It's quite likely that some changes to config,g will be needed, but going back that far I can't remember what. One of the changes that happened way back was that the default X axis direction changed (or X tower in the case of a delta).

No, it does not. The main board reboots, the expansion board cruises along.

I like your enclosure, jay. I also built one for my printer, though its not quite done yet. I have to put the door on hinges and make a latch.
And seal the top. then probably add a hairdryer or something to heat the chamber.

The legs are on acme screws and up top are gears to raise-lower the printer box so I can take it to my user group.

2.04RC4 is out now, and optionally you can use DWC 2.0.4 instead of 1.22.6. Otherwise you are up to date.

M667 was replaced by M669 since V2.03. M667 is there for backwards comparability. it gets translated internally to the corresponding M669 command.

Update:
I switched the coupler (C-axis) from E2 to E0 (Endstop + Stepper), Extruders are now E1, E2 and so on.

It works flawless in this way.

i would strongly suggest that you create a new config with the configurator.
there are several things missing in that config. i.e e steps configuration and thermistors.
also the config is for a duet v0.8

if you have bought the duet recently you have a duet2.

From what I can see on the 7i PCB, the data lines from the USB connector go straight to the microprocessor. So the USB-Serial function is performed on the microprocessor itself. There is no intermediate USB-Serial converter to bypass.

I'm out of ideas here.

@lodger Running probe. I fixed it. Missed a step before.

You should set Cura to reprap gcode flavor in the printer settings. That may solve the issue, though reprap firmware does accept the Marlin gcodes for speed, acceleration, and jerk now, so it shouldn't matter.

What firmware version are you using?

It sounds like you have the part cooling fan plugged into Fan port 1 maybe? It should be plugged into Fan port 0 since the slicers all tend to not specify the fan number, so having it on port 0 just makes it easier. Fan port 1 is defaulted to be the hotend fan and it will spin up briefly at power on.
