Error: Failed to initialise WiFi module, code -2

did you upgrade the wifi firmware as well?
-
yes i did M997 S1
-
what firmware version did you have installed before?
-
I suggest you connect via USB and send M115 to check that you really are running firmware 2.03. Then power the Duet down, move the SD card to a PC and check that the DuetWiFiServer.bin in /sys file exactly matches the one from https://github.com/dc42/RepRapFirmware/releases/tag/2.03. Then move the SD card back to the Duet, power it up. connect via USB again, and send M997 S1. Watch the response messages to ensure that the wifi firmware is successfully uploaded into the WiFi module.

@Veti i had the same 2.03.
i was using this in my printer for3 months now suddenly, the wifi module dint flash its blue LED so i thought its time for an update and tried updating the DuetWiFiServer.bin. So i am not sure if its a hardware or firmware issue. -
@dc42 said in Error: Failed to initialise WiFi module, code -2:
DuetWiFiServer.bin
did you verify that the version on your sd card is the ones that comes with the V2.03 firmware?
-
yes i downloaded the one from the link David sent in his replies.
-
If you are certain that the DuetWiFiServer.bin file in /sys on the SD card is the one from the 2.03 release (I suggest you check that the file sizes are exactly the same), please ask your supplier to replace your Duet.
-
yes i too feel it is a hardware issue.
