RepRapFirmware 2.04 released
-
Finally, RRF 2.04 is released at https://github.com/dc42/RepRapFirmware/releases/tag/2.04. I intend this to be the last release in the RepRapFirmware 2 series, because development has now moved to RRF 3.
There have been only minor changes since the 2.04RC4 release, of which the most significant one is fixing a bug that caused file uploads over HTTP to fail sometimes because of spurious mismatched CRC messages.
Please note, I do not test the firmware builds for Duet06/085 or RADDS electronics. So use these with even greater care than usual.

Thanks.
Will you be fixing problems that may be found in the release?
Frederick
Maybe, depending on how serious they are and when RRF3 is ready for general release.

Based on your progress to date with RRF3 do you have a rough idea (very rough) of when RC1 will be ready?
Thanks.

I just hope that when the time arrives that RRF2 users have no other choice other than to upgrade to RRF3 that the upgrade documentation is upgraded as well to a standard where your ordinary joe blogs can understand it.

its not that much different. you just have to specify which pins to use for endstops etc.
the configurator can now generate rrf3 configs

@Veti Ok thanks I will take a look for future reference.

We are in the process of updating all the documentation to cover RRF3.
