still puts DueX2 firmware on my board.
How are you determining this?
Can you send M122 in the gcode console tab in DWC and copy and paste the results?
-
Here the firmware says its for a duex2 after updating using the DWC firmware upload tool
-
Sorry its this one @Phaedrux

Well it's not a firmware issue, but there may be something wrong with your Duex causing it to report as a Duex 2.
Can you please try reseating the ribbon cable to the Duex?
When and where did you purchase the Duex?
-
@rister502dad current production (version 0.11) DueX5 boards have a jumper that put them into DueX2 mode. It's at the top left corner of the witing diagram at https://docs.duet3d.com/Duet3D_hardware/Duet_2_family/DueX2_and_DueX5#wiring-diagram. So if your DueX is version 0.11, make sure that jumper is fitted. There's another diagram showing it at https://docs.duet3d.com/en/Duet3D_hardware/Duet_2_family/DueX2_and_DueX5#duex5-v011-with-external-drivers.

@dc42 Thanks for the suggestion I removed the jumper and tried again to install the firmware but it didn't work as well.

@rister502dad
Hi Phaedrux
I got this board from Filastruder on May 15th order 92688This board has actually never worked for me, the heaters work but not the steppers. I have had issues with the heaters in the past too and have wondered if there is something up with this board but then again there is a lot to understand about how the Duet works and those issues were resolved by messing around with the config file.

So the jumper was already present before? It should be installed to show as a Duex5, not removed.
-
@Phaedrux I didn't know about this jumper until today when I was advised to remove it. Either way I still am stuck having tried both ways.
-
@rister502dad I didn't advise you to remove the jumper, I advised you to check that it was fitted.

@rister502dad Cool thanks for the support.
