@chrishamm Thanks for your help. I was finally able to compile using an older version of Node.js. Version 18.18
I want to modify some DWC parameters to suit our machine.
I hope this can help other users with the same problem.
@Diamondback Colors are defined here. At the moment you'd have to build a custom DWC version to change the colors but I'll probably make that configurable in v3.6.
@jhalewood You can use JPEG/MJPEG, which is what Motion webcam server provides (see DSF in the linked article). Basically you can use any format that can be displayed in a browser; if it cannot be rendered using an img tag, you can still embed the remote stream using an iframe.
AFAIK only MJPEG is generally supported in browsers. If rtsp was supported, I'd add support for it, too.
Sorry for the delay, I have been out of town for a while. I could set one up but for now, since moving the mesh AP it connects with fewer issues, so for the moment I am going to just live with it for a while to see what happens. At this point, I am more curious why 3.5.0 RC1 will not load properly and only updates the DWC. Any ideas there. Thanks
@ayalaresearch I've checked the code and it appears to me that if you don't use M551 in config.g to set a password, then you should be able to connect to port 23 from OpenPNP. However, characters received within 4 seconds of the connection being opened will be discarded.
Each command line received by the Duet must be terminated by either carriage return or linefeed.
@fcwilt ... it took a while to find but I did eventually locate what you are talking about. I have never used the macro listing on the far right of the 'Dashboard' screen. For some bizarre reason I never consciously noticed that section of the screen. If I wanted to invoke a macro, I would go to the 'Macro' menu.
Looks like I have some learning to do ....
@dc42 When i use rr_model the information i get back is null. when i go to the page in my browser it doesnt have any values for any of the fields either. im using rrf 3.4.6
Is it possible to just query whatever the source for the DWC % complete? I just need the number.
@TQKez-0 If you are running in standalone mode (no connected Raspberry Pi), all releases are on Github: https://github.com/Duet3D/RepRapFirmware/releases
3.5.0-rc1 is the top one, currently. It is not a final release, and there are a couple of issues to be resolved, so use with caution. You can always revert to 3.4.6 if you want.
@KenW Thanks for the advice and the article. Both were helpful and when I disconnected my second mesh repeater it seemed to be the problem. Looks like I need to relocate the repeater...
@dc42, Yes, I have multiple access points with the same SSID. Your scenario of starting at the lowest channel and picking the first AP it can connect to fits the situation perfectly except when the Duet was locked to the closer AP and decided to not connect at all.
It is actually hilarious that all this started with my reply to @NeoDue where I suggested locking the printer to the closer AP .... which I then did myself which resulted in a full day of drama.
I just finished downgrading the wifi module firmware so the M537.1 and M537.2 commands are not available to me but I would suggest the outcome would be exactly like what @NeoDue has posted in the referenced thread.
I have made piece with the idea that locking the Duet to a specific AP is bad karma. Everything is working and I am not touching a thing lest it all goes south again!
