@dc42 seems like my thermistor has died randomly. Nevermind i will just by a new one and try it out.

We have solved the problem of HRP and tool offsets.

The problem was that we made relative and absolute incompatible movements in the homing.

We solve it by moving the probe to the X Y coordinate where the X0 Y0 should be in the homing process and after this, make G92 X0 Y0 where G31 is the probe X0 Y0.

From there, we were able to establish that point as HRP and to be able to establish the offset of the toolheads.

It was silly 🙄

@pcr alright that explains why commenting out things had no effect, it just auto-switched to the single axis homing scripts

Awesome! In the meantime i did some maintenance to my printer and tuned it better i can. Going to print some gcode and retry them with IS on.

Ok, sorry to come back to this post so late but I had other issues and I could not test further...

Now I managed to free other 3 heater ports on the Duex, so I got rid of the buck converter as I could connect all 4 servos to 4 pwm ports on the Duet.
Nothing works anymore.

I tried also this configuration but nothing... The only visible thing that happens when I invoke a M42 or M280 command is that the corresponding heater led lights up (and remains up). So, it could be that the ports do not deliver the 5v? Before, using only the signal pin they worked with an external 5v supply...

At 1 amp you'll be fine with some vent holes.

@dc42 Yes, I understand David. It is something with which we will have to find the balance point.

Ideally, DWC would have all the functionalities that we can have with Repetier Server, which are quite a few. In fact we would like to mantain the standard DWC frontend for tech support, but final customer only need to see what it's relevant for their unskilled task.

We would have to do a totally scratch development to have a fully functional client frontend under your environment, which at this time is not possible due to time and lack of enough human resources. We have urged our developers to learn all this stuff, which is new to all of us, but customers don't want to wait for our learning curve.
We did it for Marlin FW printers and Repetier Server (web and touch UI tailor-made for this type of user).
There are items that I don't even know if it would be possible to get, as authentication and user permissions, network control panel (wifi/cable/domains/IP manual configuration...), print history and reports, white label touchscreen UI customization...that we did in Repetier Server.

We are just starting with RRF and Duet3D; and rise up our knowledge with this very first machine, but we expect to get the expertise to have all the client requests fullfilled in the future with this ecosystem, because it has proven to be more flexible than Marlin at this moment plus the Duet hardware quality.

Meanwhile, we will continue to annoy asking questions that are surely very obvious to all of you. We appreciate your help 😉

@e4d if you want to stick with these motors, definitely reduce acceleration (M201). Try 10x less for starters.
Your instantaneous speed change (M566) is reasonable, but I'd also try dropping that too.

Pin 3 is an example for RRF2, surely you must be using RRF3 by now and can use the pin name itself you wish to use?

Occasionally when updating the wifi server it will fail silently. Reflashing again using M997 S1 usually fixes it, as you've found. Sorry about that.

Glad to hear the rest of the update seems to have gone well and you're DWC is now back in sync. I suspect that what may have happened was the opposite of what I originally expected. The DWC files were updated, but your firmware was not, so there was a cryptic message for the heater since DWC wasn't getting the response it expected from the firmware.

You can check that you have 3.3 firmware and DWC now by looking at the Settings > General and Settings > Machine Specific tabs in DWC.

Well ... that was a false alarm ...

I checked the height of the sensor and checked the height of the nozzle in the toolhead ... nozzle was below sensor ... so I thought that was fine.

Turns out the round heat-sink has rattled itself lose over time and the heat-brake should have sat much higher in the cooler.

@mrehorstdmd I appreciate your help and I'm sorry for what will be a very anticlimatic conclusion.

The board wasn't lying when it reported a bad password, because it was a bad password - I had misremembered a single character in it. One of those days I guess.

But for anyone in the future who may find this post I can confirm that;

Capitals, lowercase and spaces in the SSID work, apostrophes will also probably work if you escape them Same goes for the passwords, and it can take 25 character length

@chrishamm I upgraded from 3.1 I think. I followed the instructions in the release notes, I got some errors but now seems to be working as intended
