Been printing on and off for several prints and knock on wood haven't had any tramming issues. Print quality is also very much improved over 3.52. Looking forward to further improvements.

Well that plain sucks, esp. after putting in the legwork! Hope you find a good substitute sooner rather than later! PD is getting a little but long in the tooth at this point.

@rechrtb sorry but I didn't get a notification that anyone had replied to this thread/issue for some reason.

But after I restarted my network that time and finally got the mainboard to connect agian I haven't had any issues, so it might look like it the issue wasn't (only at least?) in the Duet3 mini.

I'll mark this thread as solved since I haven't had the issue reproduced in nearly a month. When I have time I will put together a macro set for that I can access on PD with M587 etc.

Some more opinions on setting Z=0 & / or trigger distance in print/probe area center? Maybe both? (before I mark the thread as solved)

@jay_s_uk Yup i'm aware. I've got a 1LC on the toolhead that i can connect a filament sensor to if i reeeally want one 😅

@Exerqtor It looks like it's not there. I'll see if I can add it in the next release....There may be a reason I did not add it in the begining, but that was too long ago to remember, or I just missed it the first place. Who knows!😊

@Exerqtor @oliof this is a consequence of how GCode is parsed by RRF. The parameters to a GCode command are independent of order and the expected type (integer, float, array of floats, none etc.) depends on the command. So RRF doesn't do a linear parse of the command. Instead it extracts the G or M part and then depending on the command number, it looks to see whether each additional parameter that the command uses is present. Anything that isn't required (extra parameters, commas, other unused characters etc.) are ignored. That is why commas are ignored by RRF, except in meta commands and expressions.

@Exerqtor IMO, docs should be brought up to par with klipper. things like interpreting the graphs, looking at not just shaping but mechanical issues, loose belts etc.... it would also be nice if the plugin would give suggested freq and accelerations.

I also find the orientation chart confusing as hell for the accelerometer, especially when it's using a 1LC as guide when not everyone uses one of those.

Didn't try the command in DWC console, but the if i trued running the bed leveling from PD (that command is part of bed.g) nothing popped up on PD, so i went to check in DWC an there it was displayed.

Just got home and checked PD, it's got 3.5.0-rc8 installed like I thought. And i just tried to run a tram from the button on PD, now it displayed the message like it should. So idk what was going on yesterday tbh.

I have updated the documentation to cover this, thanks! This was a small revision to v1.2 to bring in the changes that we made for version 1.3, other than the mounting hole changes.

Provided a path to ground, via 100K resistors from the mounting holes to make it easier for static charge build up on the if the Toolboard is mounted on the Hemera XS Changed to higher power protection resistors for the thermistor inputs to better resist ESD/short from thermistor to 24V. Changed the circuit around the VSSA fuse to make it more robust to ESD events.

Scratch that, it solved itself after restarting the firmware 🤷‍♂️

@Exerqtor that's not to say you can't use daemon.g to monitor the inputs if you wanted to and adjust it that way. a loop every couple of seconds should be sufficient so its not going to be a big additional load.

I just had the idea to make a bed-slinger plasma table where the torch only does x-motions and the bed is the metal-sheet.
That way the waterbed could be very small and the bed frame could be hinged or foldable.

Well i'm far from knowledgeable enough to make my own board, not to mention the firmware for it.

That said, if such a board was to be made i personally wouldn't have an issue with it being connected through CAN rather than wireless. The filter needs two wires ran to it anyways, so doing a CAN pair in the same loom wouldn't be a huge issue.

Being able to connect VOC sensor(s) to Duet3D boards would be a nice feature in general though, the SPG40 for instance 😅

The ramping move I do understand (next up… add the retraction into the move directly? Haha) though the spiral I’m curious as to ‘why’. I know they explain why… but not why.
