Panel Due stopped working
-
@phaedrux no reason, in fact i thought i had upgraded. i'll try again.
-
@phaedrux actually there are so many now i dont know which is which. I have duet wifi v1. There is no reference to that, just v2 and the earlier versions 0.85. Then there is SAM, no idea what that is. I assume i want reprap as my printer is a Cartesian.
-
I'd start by trying duet2combined, wifi server, web control, and the IAP files. You can drag and drop them all into the DWC settings page and they should update. You may need to redo the duet2combined on its own after the other files have updated.
-
@phaedrux Oh ok thx, i was looking at that but thought it was for duet v2. I cant connect to web control so need to usb and sdcard if thats possible.
-
Is it a duet2 wifi v1?
-
@phaedrux I dont know. When i bought it it was just duetwifi, there wasnt anything newer. Now i see duet v2?
I just tried duet2combined by copying it to /sys folder on sdcard and ran m997 s1 command from tft. It reponded by "duetwifiFirmware not found."
so i renamed it as was required before. Ran the m997 command again and it said duetwifiserver not found,
so i copied duetwifiserver bin to /sys folder and ran m997 again and this time it installed successfully and reported
this;Firmware Name: RepRapFirmware for Duet WiFi Firmware_Version 1.19beta7
Electronics: Duet WiFi 1.0 Firmware_Date; 2017-06-22So seems thats not correct.
-
Have you updated the IAP files? Update those are try the firmware again.
-
@phaedrux No, ok found those, i assume they go in /sys folder?
-
Copied IAP4E.bin to sys folder.
No change.
Deleted DuetwifiFirmware file from /sys folder
copied Duet2CombinedFirmware.bin to /sys folder and ran M997 S1 command and it reported Success
ran M115 to check and it reports same as before 1.19beta 7
-
I think there are 3 IAP files.
You could also try upgrading to the full version of 1.19 first in case it's an issue with upgrading from a beta firmware.
-
@phaedrux Ok thanks, i will do that.
Installed v1.19+6. The version update does update to this version.
No change as far as the panel duo working right, tho.
When i run the macro "setNetwork" it returns;
Macro file: "0:/macros/setNetwork" not found. also same as before

Rename your downloaded Duet2CombinedFirmware.bin file to DuetWiFiFirmware.bin, upload it, and accept the invitation to install it.

Tested different cables, usb-ports and versions of bossa.I'm glad you got it working again. I don't understand what caused the problem, because Bossa from a PC should work as long as you:
- Download the correct firmware file correctly, and select it in Bossa.
- Check the Erase All, Lock, and Boot To Flash buttons before pressing Write.
- After the Write finishes, press Verify. I have known Bossa to say that the write is complete, but for the Verify to fail.
-
@dc42 Thank you, it now updated to v2.0(RTOS) and i have full function on the panel due ftf.
However still cannot connect to network.

I suggest you run M122 to check that you have DuetWiFiServer 1.21 installed.
-
@dc42 M122 reports;
WifFi/Ethernet version 2.0(RTOS) running on Duet WiFi 1.02 or later Board ID: ....a very long sequence of letters.Nothing else.
-
The wifi firmware version is given in the Network section of the M122 report, unless the WiFi is still in the Disabled state.
