It should not have changed. G10 P4 S260:260 followed by T4, or vice versa, should turn on both heaters. I'm not sure about M104 S260 because the M104 command was not intended to control multiple heaters.

EDIT: I just checked the code. T4 followed by M104 S260 should set the active temperature of both heaters and start heating them. But M104 S260 followed by T4 won't, because the M104 S260 command will refer to the currently-selected tool (if any).

As David's comments above. You might also find my blog useful - especially this post. https://somei3deas.wordpress.com/2017/01/11/using-the-diamond-hotend-with-duetwifi/ You may not have a Diamond hot end but if it's a mixing hot end then then the same principles will apply.

I had the problems described in this thread on my list to review, and I've just spotted a firmware issue that could explain them. The fix will be in firmware 1.20beta9. Anyone still having problems with commands in tool change files not being executed properly, please try that version when I release it.

EDIT: the workaround for now is: if any of your tpre, tpost or tfree files contains a movement command, add command M400 at the end of that file.

Ok got the new daughter board today. At first thanks to Tony/David for the quick replacement!

Tested with two resistors on the DWF first and the readings have been reasonable.
I monitored the PT100 connections for any leak voltage when moving carriages, switching on heaters and fans to be sure there is not voltage on the heater channel by accident. No voltage could be monitored so.
Then connected both PT100 and looks good for now:

Please ask your supplier for a replacement Duet under warranty (email info at duet3d dot com if you bought it on the duet3d.com web site). Also check your wiring. The driver may have just decided to fail at that point, but the failure could have been caused by one of the following:

Well, I got them installed into the bin folder and I can access them via the terminal app but the Bossa App doesn't seem to do anything.

To do the install you need to disable called system integrity protection.

Restart in recovery mode (Press and hold Command+R after start tone)

From the menu select Utilities > Terminal

Type the command csrutil disable; reboot

The system will restart, install Bossa (you'll need the admin password). After it's installed reboot back into Recovery Mode. Launch the terminal and enter csrutil enable; reboot

I think there is at least one design based on the Arduino Micro that uses step and direction signals to control a DC motor + encoder.

Finally figured out that the problem I was having with the homing of the Xaxis was that the end stop switch had become bent and wasn't making contact, out of sight and fun to track down.

Vfan jumper has 3 pins. One is always +5v from the 5v regulator on the duet (or possibly external 5v if you have that jumper set). One is Vin from your psu so 12 or 24v usually. The jumper connects the fan positive bus which runs to all the fan headers both pwm and always-on, to either 5v or Vin depending on the jumper connection.

So chose one.

However you can be clever with it. I have some 5v fans and some 24v fans. The 5v fans positive comes off the +5v pin of the vfan header and are grounded via the fan header GND of your choice. The pwm is achieved through the gnd. The rest of my fans plug into the fan headers directly and my vfan jumper is set to Vin (I have a 24v psu).

You can also have 12v fans on a 24v system by connecting 12v to the central pin of vfan header.
