Z axis stoped working

Hello.
I was testing my duet 3d board like countless times before but when the Z axis steppers were rotating to get to the home possition they sundenly stopped and i smelled burn electronics smell. Im not overloading it , it worked hours before just fine and all the other stepper outputs work just fine. What should i do? -
Can you see any damage to the Z stepper driver chip?

Oh no…yes these is a tiny new hole in the Z chip
. Idont know what went wrong.

How old is your Duet, and which country are you in?

About 4 months and im in Czechia

Please ask your supplier for a replacement Duet under warranty (email info at duet3d dot com if you bought it on the duet3d.com web site). Also check your wiring. The driver may have just decided to fail at that point, but the failure could have been caused by one of the following:
- Short circuit across one of the Z motor phases
- Short circuit between a Z stepper motor wire and ground
