yes, it's a very deep and dark hole and I haven't found my way out of it yet 😉

When the patent of Tripteron is expired, I may try to build a printer. It should have high precision. When the patent is expired, we could finish the code and push it to the official RRF together.

No, because the limit switch triggering is still processed by the main board.

That entire config.g file is intended for RRF2.

I suggest you generate a new config file set for RRF3 with the config tool and customize from there.

@oliof This question is actually in regard to an earlier forum post, where I am controlling mirror galvanometers with the step pulses output by the expansion header of a duet wifi. I had to simplify the original post by getting right to my question here. The maximum speed of a galvanometer is given in volts per second, which of course corresponds to the angle of the mirror. I am unable to find a maximum acceleration value for galvanometers. For the purpose of this question I converted the rate at which the angle is changing to surface speed of the laser rastering. That 150V/s corresponds to 1650mm/s. In my reply I accidentally confused myself by saying acceleration when I meant velocity. If I set my acceleration to 1650 mm/s then the system won't be able to go over that 150V/s limit - at least that is my thought.

So what you're seeing there for the jerk range is a reflection of the max speed for that axis which is 20mm/s.

@rjenkinsgb The load is not on the GPIO pin. It is on the 5V power supply of the GPIO pin bar, but I guess that power supply is also not strong enough. I did not come around to try it jet, connecting it to main 5V power supply.

I know I can still use the fan output. But I try to avoid it, because I might need them later.

@dc42 I have another question how about if I have 4 closed loop stepper using 1xd board all 4 board synced to control single axis and each motor have its own endstop will this cause any delays between all 4 motors as well. I’m building a large machine and I’m trying to see what’s the best option before I make any transaction I have used duet maestro and duet 2 Ethernet in the past but I’m fist curious about using CAN FD communication Thank you

@plasticfactory yes it's possible to upload GCode files over USB, but not common to do that. See the M559 and M560 commands.

No worries. After battling firmware limitations with expansion boards (some documented and others not) for around 2 years, you were wise to check. Things are much better now than they used to be.

@dc42 I can run the command from console without issue wheter the extra 0 is there or not (I'd expect it to not be an issue as I understand it just refers to the mainboard explicitly instead of the default asume). Loading config.g from console also gives no issue.

Should it be helpful, I get a correct tacho signal reported by DWC.
