As for the open circuit error I think you may have an intermittent wiring break.

@phaedrux It does seem like an Ethernet controller problem. The SD card from the problem board works just fine on my spare Duet 2 Ethernet.

I tried resoldering the ethernet module pins to the board, but to no avail. When the board is first powered through USB, the module lights up. When I issue an M552 S0 to turn off networking, the module lights go out. When I enter M552 S1 to enable the network, the lights don't come back on. At this point I can't be certain if it's the main board or the ethernet module. Guess I'm going to have to switch it back to WiFi to confirm.

I will use my spare board in the meantime.

My motors were on 800 ma when they should be on 3A... So, they did not seem to hold the position ...

Now the steppers stay well in place

@jasperg that kinematics isn't currently supported in RRF but it could be added. There is a brief overview of how to add new kinematics at https://github.com/Duet3D/RepRapFirmware/wiki/Adding-New-Kinematics. It would probably be possible to implement it as segment-free kinematics.

I'd choose the DM542 driver, it superseeds the TB6600 and isn't much more expensive.
The TMC drivers are very quiet, but their configuration (either jumpers or UART/SPI) can be difficult.

Unless you changed the M208 min settings both X and Y have a min value of -5.

You are still homing X toward the high end instead of the low end where you specified the "endstop" is - see the M574 command for X.

Once both the X and Y homing files are correctly homing towards the low end then the logical position of both X and Y will be set to -5 because that is the value set in M208.

Are those values actually correct in that you want X=0 and Y=0 to be 5mm from the low end of each axis?

When homing X you have a final move G1 H1 X-35 F7000. When homing Y you have a final move G1 H1 Y45 F7000.

G1 H1 moves are only used when seeking an endstop, either a physical switch or via stall detection.

So those final moves serve no purpose or not the purpose you intend. What do you believe those moves are doing?

Usually the goal of homing X and Y is to establish the desired position for X=0 Y=0. Is that what you are trying to do?

Also what is the intent of including a .5 after some of the values in the X and Y homing files? You only need a value large enough to insure enough movement to reach the limit of travel so that stall detection works. Since X and Y max are specified as 150 in the M208 I assume they are the limit of travel in the direction of the high end? If so homing moves of 160 will be all that is needed to insure homing works.

@adistr What is the full command you are using to tune the heater? What happens? Do you see the heater temperature rising (maybe post a screenshot of the temperature graph just after the tuning fails). You should probably also post your config.g so folks can see how you have things set up.

That was it. Apparently the RRF Config Tool doesn't attach F0 to the tool by default and is supposed to be assumed, but the explicit definition is required for it to work properly with two tools.

No that shouldn't be necessary. For info, my 6 extruders are on separate expansion boards to my XY and Z which are on a third expansion board and UVA and B axes which are connected to the main board.

@kr15_uk the hangprinter kinematic may support a polargraph; a hangprinter is like a 3D polargraph. I’m not sure if you can just define two motor points, or whether the hangprinter kinematic may need to be adapted to support polargraph (one for @dc42 !) to allow support.

Which motor skips? When does it skip? Which heaters? During a print?

Please share your full config.g and the results of M122 and M98 P"config.g" please.

If you have multiple tools also please share your tool change files.

2000c means it's not connected. Usually that ends up being the case either through connection error or wire break.
