Is there still an active plan for a new Smart Effector?
If yes, would it be possible to share what would be main changes / improvements (CAN bus, accelerometer, dimension...)
I was looking at this thread https://forum.duet3d.com/topic/19522/smart-effector-including-toolboard-capabilities which contains a lot a great stuff.

This is fully resolved in 3.4.0-b4 using Chrome, Firefox and Edge 
@mfs12 Amazing upgrade since the last version I tested, it’s a way more user-friendly!
I just started to use it and the experience is smoother, it’s definitively a more “finished” feature
I love being able to setup the multiple algorithms and run of them together.
A few things:
1- Name field in the configure tab is reset to “unknown” after having deleted the records - Don't know if this is on purpose, it just surprised me.
2- Adding the possibility to zoom-in the graph or select the frequency range would be nice
3- That one is probably not an easy one: better assignation of colors. It seems to cycle over 3 set of colors (record 0,3 6 has same colors; 1,4,7 the same and 2,5,8 the same again)
That's a graph I generated to compare quickly 2 frequencies against the 4 type of compensations.
4- Being able to do a record with no move would be nice to capture the “default” machine vibration
5- It seems to have a validation like Start Position must be greater than Stop Position which prevent to do records with move going on the left
6- Can you confirm if the Start Position can be lower that 0 on a Delta? I cannot test it for the moment
7- Suggestion: Move the Delete button above the table with the records - the checkbox to select all is on the top.
I'm impatient to see some of the items from the road map being implemented 
Just wanted to let you know that the issue I reported on the b6 for the Delta here https://forum.duet3d.com/topic/26033/3-4-0-b6-delta-print-leaning-moving-on-y-and-z/12 appears to have been resolved in the b7
I will try to make a few prints on my 2 deltas during the next days 
I just went through the documentation and started to play a little with it on my Delta - It is a really good work.
I'm finding it pretty user-friendly and the documentation is really helpful.
One suggestion I would like to make: would it be possible to add a button to save the selected IS config into the config-override.g file or maybe update the M500 command.

It works perfectly
Just did a quick test, same piece printed at .3 and .15mm layer height.
The .15 is leaning more than the .3
It's more obvious than on the picture.

I hope that's useful to help with the troubleshooting.
@mfs12 That's a detail: when configuring the Input Shaping to none, there is a validation on the frequency - it's not really an issue but Algorithm = none and Frequency = 0 are the defaulted values.
Also, in the filename, would it be possible to include the parameters (frequency and damping) used?
It would be useful when comparing the different graphs.

I have a Smart Effector v2, I'm not sure if it will fit on a v3.
I am also added a proper inside groove to clip the PTFE tube.
Initially I wanted to use a threaded connector but it is not possible, it would not be strong enough (wall too tin).
This the adapter in printed of PA-CF at .1mm later (I tried ABS+ but it just broke when I tightened the nut) and the nuts with eSun ABS+.
@dc42 Good news, I loaded this version on my 2 CoreXY and sensorless homing is working like before with the original parameters
I will try to run some prints on them today / this weekend and report any issue found.

Let me know if you need any kind of help to test experimental functions or alpha built, I would be happy to support.
My printers are not used for any business purposes so they can be use for troubleshooting and even be put out of service for days.
@velvia I haven't found the time to search details about the v3, I'm not even sure if it has been released to be honest.
I hope Duet3D will make a Smart Effector similar to the Tool Board v1.2 with integrated accelerometer - I designed a mount for it, you can see it on the picture, I will publish it shortly on Thingiverse as well.
A CANBus would be really nice but it won't be retro-compatible with the Duet 2.
Anyway, let me know if it requires a few adjustments, the inside groove for the collet has been a little challenging to make, I can easily increase or decrease it.
@dc42 Thank you for the update, I started to be concerned that my board might be defective as I was the only one reporting this issue - I was close to test one from another printer or just buy another one.
Let me know if you have a pre-beta version you want to be validated, I can do it fairly quickly.

This might be a little off topic: is there a plan to implement a script similar to the one used by Klipper to determine the best frequency / type for IS?
Using the graphs requires some knowledge and analysis, for example the spike at 102Hz on my graph is deceiving as it is not caused by a movement, it exists on a records done with no moves. I suspect it to come from the PSU fan on top of my Delta.
The M505 sounds amazing!
This is now a good reason to buy additional Smart Effectors and some Magballs
And I confirm, the Revo micro is an excellent hotend for the smart effector, just be careful the tiny fan is 5v!
I would be nice to have a 5v output on the next iteration of the smart effector.
With the exception of the PID warning "heater behaviour was not consistent during tuning" which might be caused by my tick bed everything appears to know be fine with b7+1, from my perspective I think this issue can be marked as resolved.
@t3p3tony Actually the firmware has been properly coded to handle this situation as it prevents these moves.
But I like your recommendation to move down the effector at the end of the homedelta file, I know some slicers (at least IdeaMaker) starts to move the effector on X/Y before moving down the effector causing an error.
I have been working on a dual berd air pump setup lately for high speed.
One this design the 2 pumps are combined before the pipes, the new version have one pump dedicated to in internal pipes and the other to to external pipes.
I'm not an expert on CAD 
@mfs12 I could try to help, I have been developing website/apps for years using different language including JS but been away from coding during the last few years ... so I'm likely to be a little rusty.
