@timschneider The SPI protocol between Duet and SBC is designed to retry three times in a row on failed transfers. If that count is exceeded, both endpoints reset the connection.

As I said, I'm using Edge, that is already set for dark theme, there are no configurations settings for these pages ....

@dc42 Thank you for the suggestion of running G30 (Z home) before running G29, as it now looks like I may be close to a workable solution...

But that is only if I have M671 set, to the bed coordinates, if it is set to the motor/belt coordinates, then errors keep increasing i.e.

Note that the bed is fixed, and only the XY gantry moves in the Z axis using four motors/belts.

Messing with menu config after work...

config comes from and stored in 'dwc-settings.json' along with everything else default works as-is, nobody will know anything is different until they tweak the config of it themselves complete control over the menu; change the order of it, flatten it (remove the groupings), add buttons that run gcode including adding them to submenus, create submenus, change the icons and colours (yup, can have a menu of macros that run directly from the menu, because why not!? ) internally the system pages are tweaked how they register in to the menu, but no-change for existing plugins to be able to plonk them somewhere specific by configuration.

For me, DWC is over blown showing the same info on multiple screens, where a simpler interface would suffice, e.g. the temperature chart being shown on most screens is pointless, as I've never yet altered temperatures during a print run.

No, I don't necessarily think Octoprint\Astrobox would be any better, unless they give repeatable acceptable quality prints, which after all is what the system is intended for, and currently the printer does not provide, hence my desire to at least give them a go...

And exactly the same model, printed using an older Prusai3 Mk2 (all settings the same, apart from printer volume), gives far superior results always

In answer to Ziggy, I always use PrusaSlicer, even though I also have & tried other slicers e.g. Simplify3D, and all running on separate workstations. As for the device trying to drive the printer, I've tried using a Win10 laptop, Pi3B+ and a Rock64, all with no joy.

I've included few pictures of what occurs during a print, as well as my config file etc.

then the decompressing would have had to be the issue, however I also used 7zip (v19.00 x64) when extracting the image to test.

Turned out that 35 ist the right number for me. Ringing is much better now 😊

Now to the last issue: my Z axes problem. Just ordered metal mounts for my three SFU1204.

I would do it, but my problem got solved by @frederikv 🙂

The problem was the commata and the "-" in the M671 command 😉

I chnaged a lot of code because it didn't work as I wanted for a long time. Thank you @frederikv for the Help!

& yes Nuramori, I was playing with the axis limits to try & get things working in the right direction...

That's the one I used, & shows as 1.22.6, but if I clean the browser cache & revert to the "DWC" view it shows as 2.0.6. But I tend not to use\like the view as its too "spread-out" on laptop screens....

Penny drops, yes, its probably my fault, I was hoping that the G29 S1 command would display the resultant heightmap, but sadly looks like I'm wrong (re read https://duet3d.dozuki.com/Wiki/Gcode#Section_G29_Mesh_bed_probe)
