Looking for TMC2660-PA ICs
-
Hi everyone,
I'm desperately looking to source 3 x TMC2660-PA ICs for a triple driver Duet-compatible module I've designed and very eager to test out.
The big advantages of this particular module will be it's (relatively) small footprint (approx. 100x32mm), and the ability to directly configure the drivers' settings from the Duet's web interface (DWI).
Problem is it's essentially impossible to source these ICs anywhere atm! I've searched long and deep and nobody has them in stock, whereas lead times range from early 2019 at best all the way to (and this is not a typo) late 2025...
Is there perhaps a kind soul out there with 3 of these ICs on hand which they could spare?
I will, of course, be more than happy to cover their cost and shipping charges.
Once tested, I will also open-source the module's design for the benefit of anyone who might be interested.
All the best,
SnowCrashps I've seriously looked into using other driver ICs by Trinamic and different manufacturers, but there are many issues with this kind of solution (lower power, compatibility with existing drivers on the Duet if you want to pair 2 steppers on each axis, firmware revisions needed for operating other 'smart' drivers like the TMC2660 directly from the DWI with all the bells and whistles like 256 microstepping, current setting, etc.)

Did you check here?
https://www.semiconductorstore.com/cart/pc/viewPrd.asp?idproduct=50084&utm_source=octopart&utm_medium=compref&utm_campaign=OCTPTEC&utm_term=TMC2660-PAThanks for the pointer, @Sabagmn. Yep, I did. I sent out emails to all the suppliers I could find which had them marked as 'in stock' (and there weren't that many to begin with), but unfortunately they all came back negative so the listing is apparently outdated.

Yes they are hard to get at the moment. One alternative might be to use the TMC262 + 8 external mosfets. I believe that would be software-compatible with the TMC2660, although I haven't checked.

Thanks for the suggestion, @dc42. I've previously looked into that and the TMC262 only comes in QFN-32 package that I can't solder by hand so it's a no go for this project.

I typically use Octopart:

Thanks for the comment, @veng1. It was one of the first places I went to look for these ICs, but if you follow the links or email the suppliers you'll find that it's actually out of stock.
