New Duet3D tool board up and running on Voron Trident, with Tap on Z axis for homing and bed leveling. Micro Swiss NG extruder, E3d heater and nozzle.

Are there plans for a Delta Smart Effector with built-in Tool Board, I would install on my Delta?
-
@Edkirk +1 I also want this board!!

Does the tool board come with uncrimped pins or do I need to source those myself? e3d told me the leads on the Roto extruder are 1m long so I would need to remove 90% of the wire and reposition the connectors to use this tool board mounted locally.
-
@jltx the leads on the Roto and Revo that are directly connected are very short and those plug directly into the Roto Toolboard. E3d provides extension cables to take them out to 1m.
Crimps and connectors are provided to handle the JST connectors which are not part of the Roto Extruder, or Revo hotend, for example a part cooling fan.

Lets see, nearest competitor is the BD sensor, runs around $30 plus many weeks delay to get shipped here. And a toolboard, either the Ebb36 or fly run around $45+. Then I would get to integrate it into the controller board/Raspberry Pi ecosystem ( Pi boards are dropping in price but still expensive ) that is needed along with the work needed to control all the parts. Make sure you RTFM before you ask any questions if you get stuck. And praise Klipper to high heaven on any post.

I have the board up and running, I am getting low on the little white connector pins. They are very fragile and I almost out. Where can I get some more of the metal connectors? Are they the same as used on the Smart Effector? Thanks, Ed
-
@Edkirk they are JST PH2.0 connectors. You can buy the shells and pins from the usual electronic component distribution companies, and on Amazon, eBay etc.
The version 4 Smart Effector uses the same crimp pins.

@dc42 Great, Thank you. I am using the new tool board on a full size extruder/hot end. Awesome combination. I am thinking about getting another one for my delta/smart effector, sure cleans up the wiring and much more convenient and easier to work with. Thanks, Ed

@Edkirk A description of the pins and their connector type is here: https://docs.duet3d.com/Duet3D_hardware/Duet_3_family/Duet_3_Roto_Toolboard#description-of-connections
I have also added them here: https://docs.duet3d.com/en/User_manual/Troubleshooting/Parts#connectors-used-on-duet-3-roto-toolboard
