I am a go, I support all of your specifications. Although I am sold on the E3D rapid change nozzles.
Thanks, Ed -
RE: E3D Hermes
The next best thing would be a Smart Effector with can bus. I believe there was a post about a new smart effector in the works?

RE: How to connect integrated servo motors
I am using the Clearpath servos on my corexy printer and my cnc router, they are great! They provide programming software to set them up, plenty options and easy to use, free download just register with them. Get the step/direction version, wiring is extra. I am using a 48 vdc power supply on my printer with no issues. There are three options for torque and speed, your choice. I haven’t used them with a duet yet, my corexy with standard steppers is working way beyond expectations. I can see an advantage with a SCARA ARM because they may provide a higher resolution at lower rpm. I am considering building a SCARA ARM with the Clearpath servos, just out of my budget and my other printers with Duet are working really great.

RE: New Scara Arm Build
First day progress. Removed fourth axis and motor, cleaned up wiring, mounted Duet WiFi and power supply, made connectors and attached steppers, configured software as cardisian and confirmed all 3 axis steppers work.
Next - connect switches and configure as Scara. -
RE: Duet 3 MB 6HC and PI 4B working, next step?
@Phaedrux Thanks for the help, I managed to figure it out on my own.
I am satisfied with my setup, not the problem. Already contacted E3D for a quote on their printer and looking forward to my next project.
Thanks, Ed

RE: Clearpath Servos with 1XD Expansion
@chine Several years ago I built a Corexy to test Clearpath Servos, I had no problems. Absolutely awesome performance. Looking through the above post I didn’t see any mention of power voltage and current to power the servos. I used a power supply from Clearpath for Servo power. I was initially concerned about signal voltage from the duet board for step/direction but there was no problem. I set Clearpath resolution to get close to my original steps per mm in config.g. I found the servos were over kill for a 3D printer, they are no better then the signal from the board just producing slightly better then a good stepper motor. They are very quiet. I transplanted the servos to my CNC router where I needed the extra power. Photo of the original test printer.

Use 2 Duet3 Roto TB
Re: Duet3D announces new tool board at FormNext Is it possible to use two different Roto TBs on one system? I thought I read somewhere that there wasn't support for 2 or more of the Roto TB on the same system. If so where do I fine supporting documentation? Thanks, Ed

RE: Duet3D announces new tool board at FormNext
@dc42 Great, Thank you. I am using the new tool board on a full size extruder/hot end. Awesome combination. I am thinking about getting another one for my delta/smart effector, sure cleans up the wiring and much more convenient and easier to work with. Thanks, Ed

RE: Duet3D announces new tool board at FormNext
I have the board up and running, I am getting low on the little white connector pins. They are very fragile and I almost out. Where can I get some more of the metal connectors? Are they the same as used on the Smart Effector? Thanks, Ed

Are there plans for a Delta Smart Effector with built-in Tool Board, I would install on my Delta?

RE: Duet3D announces new tool board at FormNext
I have ordered the new tool board to install on my Voron Trident with Micro Swiss NG Extruder, E3D hotend using Duet IR Probe for Z probe. I see in the Duet 3 Roto Toolboard documentation under Firmware notes "Compatible RepRapFirmware version 3.5 or later". I updated my 6HC with SBC which only goes up to 3.4.6, is there going to be any problems using 3.4.6 or do I have to wait for 3.5?
I plan on using a Voron Tap Z-Probe with optical sensor (not Duet IR probe I am currently using) then when I have everything working converting the Tap optical to Piezo from Precision Piezo to work like the Delta Smart Effector so the Tap probe will be a true tap probe like the Delta Smart Effector. Does this configuration look like it will work? Thanks, Ed
