PID does not work
-
Hi,
Iv'e done multiple PID tunes but I still get this error every time, what am I doing wrong?!
Heater 1 fault: temperature rising too slowly: expected 0.64°C/sec measured 0.37°C/sec
This is my M307
M307 H1 R1.863 K0.492:0.000 D11.56 E1.35 S1.00 B0 V24.3```

@Haggan90 do you get that error every time you heat the tool, or only if it is heating with the print cooling fan running?
From the M307 parameters it appears that either you have no print cooling fan, or you tuned the heater not the tool, so it didn't measure the effect of the pront cooling fan.
-
@dc42 I did the tuning with the print cooling fan on, but it said something like "it appears the print cooling fan is not cooling down the hotend"
-
@Haggan90 best tune as a tool i.e.
M303 T0 S240
-
@jay_s_uk I did so
-
@Haggan90 which firmware version are you using?
-
@Haggan90 3.4.2
-
What kind of heater is it? Photos?
-
@Phaedrux It's just a Volcano heater, I never had this problem before RR3.

@Haggan90 two suggestions:
- Upgrade to firmware 3.4.6
- If that doesn't help, reduce the R parameter in the M307 command. Try a 25% reduction first. If you reduce it too much then the temperature will overshoot the set value.

@dc42 Ok thank you, I will try that!
