Bringing older (new) board up to current FW
-
Pulled out my backup Duet Ethernet board in the hope that I can bring it up to the later RRF 3 with accelerometers and use it on a new build. I haven't been keeping up with the progression so I'm not sure its doable but if it is what is the sequence for upgrading ?
The controller is V1.02. I believe it had FW 1.18.1 but I must have erased it at one point because all that is on the SD is the SYS, Macros, WWW and g-codes folders and their contents. Before looking at the SD I connected YAT but got nothing in return after sending M115. -

@3dpmicro I suggest you do the following:
- Use Bossa to install RRF 3.3beta3 directly
- Then you should be able to communicate with the Duet using YAT
- Using a PC, create a /firmware folder on the SD card and copy DuetWiFiServer.bin and Duet2_SDiap32_WiFiEth.bin into it. Also rename or delete the existing /www folder, create a new /www folder, and extract DuetWebControl_SD.zip into it.
- Put the card back in the Duet and restart the Duet. Send M997 S1 from YAT to install the WiFi firmware.
- Then use M587 to set up the access point parameters (see the Getting Connected guide).
