daughter board for PT100 sensors
Ah bad terminology from seller I guess. Reading off the board "PT100 RTD Board Revision 1.1a By Duet 3d CERN OHL 1.2"
The intent is to control exhaust fans for heated enclosure.
-
@dc42 I got a brief reading close to zero with the resistor in place then back 2000 and fault. . I have the connections jumpered with a wire but same thing. I pulled the board off altogether and same 2000 temp with fault indicated on the duet interface. Im using my laptop so no USB connection

That's completely normal. You will get an error if you configure a sensor to use a PT100 daughter board channel, but the daughter board is not present.
-
@dc42 It does the same thing when the board is present
-
if we assume you did everything right then the board isn't working.
if we're open to the possibility that the board is fine a picture or two and the complete config just might help, then again there is a limit to how many times I'll suggest that

d the daughterboard and the reading is still the same. I tried putting in a 100ohm resistor in the circuit and then just the resistor in place of the wires. Not sure what is going on. I am just beginning to try to understand the g code.
Are you sure ur not talking about the pt100 daughter board, you cant use a thermistor with it.
-
@davidvh86
"PT100 RTD Board Revision 1.1a By Duet 3d CERN OHL 1.2"Read right off the board
-
@bearer Im not sure if Im correct on the config as someone else walked me through it.

now if we only had a picture to show where the board is connected and how the sensor is wired we could correlate it to the config.
but as it seems that is too much to ask I'm afraid we're at the end of what we can assist you with.

" ; configure sensor 1 as thermocouple via CS pin spi.cs1
that is for firmware 3.x OP is using 2.02(RTOS) (2018-12-2
Oh sorry deleted it to avoid confusion lol

@dc42 What info are you missing. I can re post
-
@davidvh86 Is there anything you want me to post to clear up any confusion?
-
Post a photo of the sensor and the board.
