1LC V1.1 firmware fault
-
Hey guys, I have a pretty big problem. After updating the firmware on my 1LC it doesn't do anything anymore. The VIN and 5V led's are on, so they do have power, but the ACT and STATUS led's don't do anything. I just can not communicate with the boards. They are 1LC V1.1 boards purchased at e3d.
I was able to connect and communicate to the boards before, but I couldn't configure the thermistors. After some searching, I could find someone who had that problem, and he solved it by updating the firmware on the toolboards. So I went ahead and sent an M997 to the boards and then the real trouble started. No communication at all! I really hope there is someone who can help me!

Did you update your main board with the same firmware revision?
-
@jay_s_uk yes I did , and still there is no sign of life in the boards. So no communication yet. But it really is a problem in the toolboards, because everything else works perfectly. And I have a spare V1.1 board brand new, I tried that and that works perfectly

@rein3003 which country are you in, and were did you buy the tool boards?
-
@dc42 I live in Belgium, the boards were purchased recently at E3D Online.

@rein3003 please can you disconnect one of the tool boards from CAN bus (easiest is probably to disconnect the CAN cable at the main board, thereby disconnecting both boards), then power it up while holding down both buttons it. Once the board has powered up and the red 5V LED is lit, you can release the buttons. Then watch for activity on the STATUS and ACT LEDs. Repeat for the other board.
If you do get activity, then upload the tool board firmware to the Duet again in case it is corrupt. Then reconnect the tool boards to CAN bus (you can do this while the system is powered).

@dc42 I have only one toolboard connected now, I tried the factory reset. But no activity yet. The ACT and STATUS led don't light up. I tried for both boards, and I did put the jumpers back on the distribution board when disconnecting a toolboard.

@rein3003 thanks. We will replace your tool boards because it appears that the bootloader is not functioning. Please send an email to warranty@duet3d.com and include a link to this thread in it.

@dc42 Thanks for the quick response to my message, I'll send an email to that adress.

@dc42 are there serial numbers on the toolboards? I have to fill them in in the form...

If unable to locate, just put N/A in the field.
