Webinterface: Upload / Creation DATE column in the Filelist PLEASE…
-
And another thing: I am using Interface Version 1.19 RC 1 but I liked the old BUTTON for "Print" a lot more than now having to open a context menu and select it from there.
Just click the filename.

Web interface requests should be raised in the Duet Web Control Wishlist section.
I agree, a Date column would be useful. There is such a column on the Macros list, but not on the GCode Files list.
-
Does the Duet get the time/date from NTP or ??
I see current time in the webui G Code console messages, but that could have nothing to do with the duet.
The paneldue shows messages as hh:mm since it was generated, kinda neat.I say add NTP to the duet

The "generated by" column has a date in it. Clicking that column will give you the files in date order, presuming you used the same slicer for all files.
-
DWC sends the date and time when it connects. When you upload a file, it sends over the last modified time stamp with the file. We've considered using NTP but it hasn't been necessary yet.
-
Personally, I'd like to see the date when the file was saved rather than when it was generated by the slicer. I have a habit of tweaking gcode files using notepad++ or similar then saving it. But I often can't remember if I made the intended changes and uploaded it to the SD card. So I have to look at the date that it was last saved on my PC then upload it again, just to be sure that I have the latest version on the SD card.

Hm I can not confirm this. The order changes if I click on the Column header, but the tooltip says it is not sorted by "Last modification date". And of course I am using the same slicer

Only some slicers include the date and time in the "Generated by" comment. I guess your slicer doesn't.

Well, its Simplify 3D, maybe this one does not, or can I adjust this in the settings of S3D?
-
No date and time for either and I have S3D 4.0.
-
Just upgraded to 1.19 and I can't believe that there still isn't a way of displaying the gcode file dates and listing them in date order.

Prusa Slicer 1 - S3D 0
-
why not show the upload date
the time when the file was created on the sd card ? -
Please request this in the Duet Web Control wishlist forum, if it is not already there.

Thanks David for moving the thread and sorry for my mistake in the first place…

I was missing this feature yesterday. In a project with lots of iterations and low on naming discipline it's very nice to have!
