@bearer
So I just download the Duet2CombinedFirmware.bin and DuetWiFiServer-1.23.bin files and upload them and then do the newest duet web control zip and upload that after rebooting?
-
@JamesM You can upload them all at the same time even.

Thanks. I haven't done much with the firmware other than 1 or 2 simple updates and I'm just too scared to attempt RRF firmware...LOL

@JamesM you can't really go all that wrong, in the sense that worst case scenario is that you have to connect the micro usb cable and flash the firmware from another computer. take your time and follow the instructions on the wiki and you'll be fine.

What firmware version are you currently using?

I would have to look but I think I have 3 different versions on my 3 printers but all of them should be 2.02 and newer.

@dc42 First of all, thank you very much for your constant effort. surely my question has already been addressed before, but I wanted to know, if I have a duet 2 wifi for a corexy printer, it is worth moving on to RepRap firmware 3? I was previously on version 2.01 and upgraded to 3, bus has been a pain since. Is advised to go back to firmware 2? In this case, 2.05.1?

Currently, unless you need a specific feature of RRF3, you may want to stay on 2.05.1 for now. But if you want to be on the bleeding edge and do some testing, create a post about your issues with RRF3 and we can probably get you sorted.
Downgrading to 2.05.1 should be as simple as uploading the firmware file and then replacing your config with a backup you had of your old config.

Thanks @Phaedrux !!!!
