@dc42 ok thanks..this is what initially thought. And i did a quick test with 2 dupont cables..and nothing happened, which was kinda confusing..so i guess ill try again with proper wiring.

@sinned6915 here are some possible causes:

Shorted heater, or short between heater +ve wire and ground Blown (short circuit) stepper driver Blown (short circuit) 5V regulator

I suggest you inspect the stepper drivers and the 5V regulator U3 for signs of damage. If there are none, then disconnect all heaters and stepper motors from the Duet, replace the 7.5A fuse, and apply power again. If the fuse fails again, the problem is on the board. If not, then it's probably a heater.

I fixed the issue. I connected an thermistor and it worked completely fine. First I thought my CAN Connection didnt have enough bandtwith because everything else worked fine except the motor.

The issue was that the 1XD Exp Board was running firmware 3.2 and the Mainboard was running firmware 3.3.

If you're talking about the displayed max speed while homing being higher than you'd expect that's a display anomaly due to the way delta kinematics speed is calculated.

@jens55 I rolled back to the stock board and will just be using Klipper for it instead while I take a closer look at this board. I cant turn the parts fan on and off so I think there's a dead mosfet on here too. I measured with the stock board and it was 0.2 volts higher than the duet. I tuned the voltage up just a touch to hit 24 even even with the bed head on. shouldn't matter but meh.

My soldering skills are potato-class so I might not be able to repair this board.

@dc42 Thanks for your help. It turned out to be a break in the supply circuit. Your comment made me investigate the incoming power. At the Duex incoming power terminals I measured 24v but there was a dry joint on the neutral connection to the board, manufacturing fault. I resoldered it and now everything is working as it should. Yes, it's a defective temperature sensor. Tape a new thermistor to the bed with capton tape and use it for the controlling sensor. You can leave the other sensor as a secondary (non controlling) sensor if you like.

On the Duet 2 the DIAG LED is driven from the ZProbe MOD pin. When using some types of Z probe, that LED will light during a probing move.

also, since the paneldue does not work, I don't know which wifi channel to call for and therefore cannot connect to the controller.

There are various things that cause PanelDue not to work:

Missing M575 P1 B57600 command in config.g Mismatched baud rates Cable bad or not connected correctly

Please start a new thread if you still have a problem getting PanelDue to work.

I ended up ordering a long ribbon cable and just split some of the wires out. I don’t know how to post a photo or I would. Show what I did.
