Hello,
I have wired a few 3d printer's previously with a SSR controlling them hotbed, the hotbed having a redundant thermistor (seemycnc - drill hole on side of plate and add extra thermistor) as well as a Thermal Cut Off wired with my HighTemp RTV Gasketed 1000W SIlicone hot bed.
I know it is quite a bit excessive for my hot bed which is 400x400, but I do not wish to buy another. Also, living in the USA, I am at 120V, I almost wish I had bought 220V back when I purchased it and used a step up transformer - anyone hear of any success like that?
Back to my story: I have one SSR that will be powering the hot bed, I also have a sealed enclosure and a 400W PTC Heater, and a low wattage but mains powered in-line exhaust fan that is going to venting the printer outside when X temperature is reached.
Because of my 1000W hot bed, I made the assumption that between that, the PTC 400W heater, my inline fan, my 3d printer, all the neopixels, that I should have a separate IEC Cable powering the 1000W Hotbed, 400W PTC Heater and in-line exhaust fan.
I have this roughly all wired up and I have taken time and care to make sure all grounds are connected where they should be.
My big question here is: IEC CABLE --> FIltered, Fused, IEC Inlet --> Live WAGO + Neutral WAGO + GND WAGO. Then each wago to the appropriate connections for the 3 SSR's.
Is it this simple?
Is there something else I should be doing? Possibly resistors between the wago and the SSR or something?
I just want to make sure I am doing everything safely. Thank you to anyone who contributes.
