@gloomyandy Because as soon the empty unload.g runs there will be no filament assigned to the tool.

If I cancel filament selection after that I'm left with no filament.

How would I unload the filament if I can't use its unload.g?
Would filament specific configurations of the previous filament still be applied when unloaded?

Also I use unload.g for ERCF and there it works well.

This issue only applies to DWC

Imagine if you would want to eat something you would need to unload the entire fridge before you can chose anything, you cannot just open the door and see what you have or just close the fridge and don't take out anything at all if you change your mind. You need to unload it all if you interact with it and only then you can make decision about the next step.

Just want to second this. I would love if it were a GCode value (like an M203, but for a ceiling on the flow rate). That way it could be input into the start GCode or filament files, and could be changed/checked via the console on the DWC.

@NineMile I just tried this with DWC/RRF 3.5.2, toggled the 'Do not close error message automatically' to off, then provoked an error that displayed a red box. Like when a blue or green message box pops up, the red box had a white progress bar at the top of it, and disappeared once that completed. Also tried changing the notification period, and that worked too.

I've noticed a couple of people have had problems with their DWC settings. Refreshing these seems to resolve some issues. Whether this is because the format of the dwc-settings.json has changed over time, or the file has become corrupt and not writeable, I'm not sure. Try renaming sys/dwc-settings.json to something different (eg .old on the end), and refresh the browser. Edit something, eg set 'Do not close error message automatically' to off, to create a new dwc-settings.json, and see if that resolves the problem.

@Phaedrux That is what I want to avoid. The macros folder is in git and shared between printers etc. And I do not want to search the needle in the job hay stack every time I need one of the files.

@DocTrucker Unfortunately, DWC layout is not user-configurable... yet. You can also use https://github.com/MintyTrebor/BtnCmd/ for custom layouts. I'm not sure if it lets you show the temperature chart, or move the three main dashboard panels.

We agree the tool panel can get unwieldy.. To combat this, here is what our custom DWC has whittled it down to. Note we removed the label for each heater as it's redundant for our usage. For posterity - most of the padding is coming from the dropdowns - setting the "dense" flag in the v-combobox removes it.

@jens55 im not suggesting removing the temp display. just making the chart have tabs, so you can switch from temp, to flow to speed or whatever as you wish
