What does this means? I tried to play some ET sounds, at least in PanelDue, and first I used:

M300 S1000 P500 G4 P500 ;etc

It is true that in documentation, it is specified that the pause should be AT LEAST the same as the tone duration, but... it does not work. It worked only when the G4 was DOUBLE than the tone length. I mean, I only tried with 600, after 500, and jumped directly to 1000, wich worked.

Yes, this is a problem, but I think any interrupt, if not treated in time slots, like for a RTOS, has this potential.

@soare0 Finally, many thanks to Duet support. Honestly, I wanted to pay some support guys, as gcode scared me at first, and was mentally prepared to pay ... a good amount for this (more than I paid for DUET electronics). However, as I could not find any real paid support (albeit promised from one reseller), the forum (on the condition of reading the documentation, and some/many lost nights), was helpful enough.
However, I could not recommend this for anybody. I saw some failures here, for some who stretched too much with big projects, hoping to spare some money. But if learning is the goal, or needed skills are already there, this is a good place.
I heard here and there that DUET is too expensive.
It is not. Because of the best UNPAID support.

Indeed, right now I realised this, and hurried to my post to correct my mistake. However, you were much more faster 😊

It was not a bug in 3.4.6, where I only could move the motors by commands issued from Panel or DWC, when (or not) homed. Being some time, I forgot that I have not done this manually, but by command.

I hope at least that this will help somebody else, as normally this kind of support should be paid, even with a beer. Have my blessings, then...

@oliof Indeed, I noticed 3d printing and CNC machining need more brakets, haha...!
It was just unexpected, as Python is a foreign language to me (it always was).
No problem adapting though. If I survived to... some 3d printers, for sure I would survive missing some brackets...

Yes, they cant be controlled, but they will have set in config.g the threshold at wich to start running, wich is ok.
Besides, RRF did it, not me... 👼 Without RRF, I could not have make heads or tails of the configuration files.
However, based on your advice, I will redo this, somehow...

Anyway, I updated all the firmware files to 3.5.0 (6XD, 3HC and Panel Due). My Panel Due, being version ... 1 I guess (it is nothing written on back, beside 7i), needed some effort for it (needed to change the name and to manually press buttons on it), but was ok, too.

Long story short, the problem with buttons is gone, and best of all, the machine is printing now.
As I had other issues with Panel Due, I will check them all.

@soare0 Yes, it was a bug in 3.4.6.
I updated all the boards to 3.5.0/1 rc2, and for now, all works.

@soare0 I commented T0 in config, as the printer started by default (at power on) with the corresponding heather active.
I see the point. As a beginner in working with GCODE, I associated the tool with the heather in my mind.

Yes, it had a CHEAP marlin board, on a (would be) professional printer - 600x600x800 actively heated closed printer, wich I am refurbishing now: DOWELL DH8.

Translated in english language, it's name would be: ”it almost works” or ”by me if you love tinkering”, or ”please don't be mad because so many failed big prints”, albeit this last one was most because of the strange filament (like ABS clogging the throat at 39C ambient), or because of the shitty belts (36h at 60C did't help them). Oh, and I forgot one important name: "please look for support elsewhere". Now, this was disturbing at this price, but then, a man got to do what a man got to do, and being the last straw ... DUET.

For 5k, this is what you get, but it needs only to add maybe 1k and some work to make it a reasonable good printer, so I can't complain too much.

Bottomline, it is true that, right now, USB stick is not needed anymore, but it may be in the future, from time to time. Not a big issue, anyway.

@soare0 Okay, thanks. I think you mean that the 6XD isn’t explicitly listed in the list of supported boards? I’ve updated the list to include the 6XD.

Generally users update using the zip file in the RepRapFirmware release, so rarely look at the DWC GitHub repo. But it’s good to get the documentation correct!
