Long cables

As my printer is big, and Panel Due needed to be installed in front of the printer, with maybe 2m of cables to 6DX, i tried to use the wires only for SPI, and to power the display to a 24V accesible in the front (with a 24V/5V step down, of course).
It works very well (until now, but indeed, the motors are not working yet, and the wires (already installed from the previous display), does not have a shield. Still, it worked with the former display too, so I am confident...The thing is: former display had a internal 24dc-5dc step down integrated on it. Thinking at this, maybe, just maybe, it would be nice to have such a thing integrated on some next iteration of Panel Due. Not that I would by more than one very soon. I mean... it is enough that I already bought a second one, as I cracked the touch panel of the first one, and the worst is that I do not have who else to blame for this, grrrrhhhh.....

@soare0 2m is too long to use for the SPI connections on the ribbon cable. It's OK for the UART connections though.

@dc42 Indeed, is so. I used it on UART, in fact. I was wondering why it works...
