@NeueKlasse Thank you for making this tool. I gave it a try on my windows machine. The splash screen appears plain white for about 1/2 second and I don't see the BMP image. Files are attached. Can you give it a shot and see if it works on your machine?

I'm loading this to a paneldue 7i. I'm using PanelDueFirmware-3.4.1-7.0i and splash.bmp as the input in the attached zip folder. PanelDueFirmware3.bin is the output.

@dc42 Can we please add .bmp as a valid file type for attachments in this forum? I see .bmb listed below. Maybe it's a typo. I tried uploading a .bmp file and it gave me the error below.

@o_lampe RRF already uses PPI mode.

It would be possible to support lasers connected to expansion boards, but quite a lot of work, so I am only likely to implement it if several users or an OEM need it.

@neueklasse I ran into the same problem about daemon.g being a pain to edit when a 'while true' statement was used. Instead of using a 'true' statement I made this a variable I called 'daemonRun' that I set to 1 in the config. When I want to edit daemon.g I first set it to 0 and then change daemon.g and reset it back to one.

yes i use that Parameter, in my case it's 255.
the R Parameter corresponds to Max Laser Power so in case it would be 100
on S100 the Laser Powersupply has a 100% ON PMW Signal

A Max Value / Restriction Parameter would be good in M452!!!

I wanted to use a normal Slicer, in my Case Prusaslicer with a Normal Printerprofile.
the Only Thing that needs to be done is to wipe the Platform before every Layer,
to Add the Powder. and a Gcode Edit need to be done.
for example, to Convert "G1 X100 Y200 E0.055" into "G1 X100 Y200 E1 S100"

It should be A Gcode with a E1 Signal to Enable the Laser and a S*** Signal to
set the Laserpower for each specific G1 move.

i'm developing a special GCode Editor (Windows and Mac based) to set Laserpower for Raft, Supports, Infill, Shell's.
I Want to make it as easy as possible if the Printer is Ready for a potential Fan Out in the Future.

and i don't want anyone to use a Overpriced Slicer for that purpose....

in the Dashboard Bar (like the Screenshot i made) it's still visible.

You could make a completely separate board with hardware quadrature counters or biss-c master ic(ic-haus makes them) then just use SPI to talk to them. The master ic supports SSI too.

Most CNC Machines work like that.

I've not heard of CNC machines behaving like that, and it certainly isn't NIST-standard.

I would do the moves in G53 as @dc42 suggested. CNC machines use the machine coordinate system (G53) for tool changes and other certain moves. It happens in the background on certain controls so you may not see how it is happening, but they most defiantly reference the machine coordinates because it is consistent un-changeable coordinate.

I would suggest re-tuning again, but this time using a lower PWM factor to reduce the overshoot. 50w on a hotend is a lot of power in a small area. By the time the temperature rise has registered with the sensor the temperature has already shot past. Try P0.7 maybe.

is there a Variable that equals to M116 => i want to wipe till the new tool is ready,
but i found no boolean in the object browser for it.

on the Paneldue i sometimes get the Message
M4 command is not supported in machine mode FFF.

But i have no M4 Command in it?!
