@Messiahman scratch that, i calibrated my flow rate and the scales are mostly gone, now i just need to tune in retraction further. Sorry about that!

Also let us know what BL version you have got. Depending upon the version you may need different cabling (including a resistor, etc.). You find the version number on the back of the device.

@messiahman so probably best to step through the issues you are seeing (using some test prints that target just one issue) and then if you can't find the setting you need to modify then we can of course point you in the right direction.

M566: Sets the maximum allowable speed change (sometimes called 'jerk speed') of each motor when changing direction.
M201: Sets the acceleration that axes can do in mm/second^2 for print moves.

@messiahman as you don't have a Z probe the easiest way is to set the home position to what it actually is relative to the bed. so if you home and it is 0.21 mm higher than you want it, adjust your homeall.g and homez.g files to set the Z axis to 0.21 when homing is complete.

The easiest way to find out what the correct abound of adjustment is is to use babystepping to nudge the head down until you get a good first layer.
