@Messiahman scratch that, i calibrated my flow rate and the scales are mostly gone, now i just need to tune in retraction further. Sorry about that!

Scaly outer shell on print
Title. I’ve been trying to tune my retraction and I cant seem to get rid of this scaly outer shell or the stringing on my print. Everything ive tried has only worsened it. I’m running an ender 5 plus with a microswiss all metal hotend and capricorn bowden tube. Any help would be greatly appreciated

RE: BLTouch stuck at 1000
@wieman01 I haven't changed them since i first got them working, but sure, let me pull them up
M280 P0 S10 I1; deploy BLTouch
M280 P0 S90 I1; retract BLTouch
-
RE: BLTouch stuck at 1000
@phaedrux the red light comes on yes, but not the blue. it also goes through the startup sequence
-
RE: BLTouch stuck at 1000
@dc42 will do, but i did just unplug the whole bltouch to try and dispel any charge in the capacitor and replugged it all in, and now it won't deploy or retract.

RE: BLTouch stuck at 1000
@dc42 I've checked all the wires, theyre all pretty strong connections
-
RE: BLTouch stuck at 1000
@rjenkinsgb yeah no the entire extruder head is nearly to the top of the print area cuz my last print ended off pretty high up
-
RE: BLTouch stuck at 1000
@nurgelrot thats the thing though, like i said it was working fine last night and i havent since changed anything, its like the probe just decided “today’s not the day” lol
-
RE: BLTouch stuck at 1000
@nurgelrot interesting, ill give it a try and let you know? I have been trying to turn the printer on and off, unplugged and replugged the bltouch wires, etc. etc., i didnt realize there was an actual function to just reset the bltouch

BLTouch stuck at 1000
Just last night i managed to successfully run a print. I went to collect it off my bed this morning and tried to simply run another one. When the printer went to home the z axis, it raised a couple mm before displaying the error that the bltouch was already triggered at the start of movement. Nothing i do seems to resolve this issue. Help?

RE: Ender 3 pro quality issues
@t3p3tony I also don't know the gcode for some of those for reprap, so I was hoping I could have a little bit of a walkthrough with someone who knows what they're talking about lol
-
RE: Ender 3 pro quality issues
@t3p3tony This is after tuning it, which is why I wasn't sure if it was hardware or not
-
RE: Ender 3 pro quality issues
@messiahman I would like to add that I would prefer to keep the settings in the printer rather than in any slicer so I do not have to worry about switching between computers

Ender 3 pro quality issues
Hi all, as the title suggests I am having trouble with my ender 3 pro print quality, which i cannot determine if it is due to hardware or calibration. I am running a duet 2 wifi with a bantamount dual 5015 mount, stock extruder, bltouch, metal extruder, capricorn bowden tube, glass build plate and steel core timing belt for the x axis (which will soon be replaced with the stock once i get it from e3d). Below is my config file and a couple photos of my most recent benchy. I also plan on extending the build volume to 400x400x500 and wish to eventually print at high speeds and quality, though I first need to reach quality here.

Need help completely retuning ender 3 pro
As the title suggests, I need help retuning my ender 3 pro with duet 2 wifi, bltouch, bantamount, stock hotend with metal dual gear extruder and glass bed. My print quality has come out completely god awful and I need to go through every step of recalibration but I don’t know how to do it. Any help is appreciated

Acceleration and jerk tuning
Hi all,
No matter what I do I can't seem to eliminate ringing at all from my printer. I have tried all sorts of changes to acceleration but no matter what I do, the ringing looks the exact same. Any advice? -

Extruder head running into printer
I've installed a bltouch, glass print bed and bantamount which appears to have dropped the extruder about 2 mm. Now when I try to print with it, the extruder drops too low for the bed and drags along the glass. I'm certain it's due to something in my code but I just cant figure it out

RE: Part cooling and extruder fans won't turn on
@t3p3tony One of my friends had a 2A and after plugging it in the fans work perfectly fine, thank you so much!
