cannot connect to duet 2 Wi-Fi or board
-
@T3P3Tony yeah I know you guys replaced the previous board and this board was working good for a while but now it will not connect to the Wi-Fi and from the beginning it wouldn't connect to USB if I turn the machine off and then turn it back on it loses its Wi-Fi if I reload runonce.g it will connect to the Wi-Fi again but if I turn the machine off it will not reconnect to Wi-Fi unless I reload runonce.g then it will reconnect to Wi-Fi but as soon as I turn the machine off it will not connect to Wi-Fi this board was not working properly from the beginning because it would not connect to USB this board was working correctly except it would not connect to USB from the beginning so this board is messed up it is a default board from the beginning because it would not connect USB so clearly this board is a default board from the beginning it will connect to USB if I push the reset button but as soon as I disconnect it and try reconnecting it it will not connect to USB unless I push the reset button so clearly this board was default from the beginning and I was trying to work with you guys to get this going and it did work for a little while but now it's not connecting to you to Wi-Fi are you guys going to back up your product or not
-
@T3P3Tony I am willing to look into buying a new router what router do you recommend that works with this product just to make sure that it is not my hardware
-
@Blunt2007 We're a bit confused about the board replacement. We don't have any record of you submitting a warranty request, at least not from the name and email address you registered with. From where and when did you buy the original board?
If you did replace the board, I find it very unlikely that you would get two boards that exhibit exactly the same problem. Did you send back the original board before receiving the replacement, or is it possible you could have kept the original board by mistake?
Please can you post a picture of the whole board, if possible.
What make and model of router are you currently using? It may be that there is a setting that continually tries to force the Duet to use 5GHz WiFi, but the Duet can only do 2.5GHz WiFi.

Okay, I'll ask @Phaedrux to check that.
When connected via USB, do you still see the Duet in the device manager? If so, can you right click on it, and take a screenshot of the properties?
For the WiFi, have you set the router channel to 10 on the router? It is not something that the Duet can force, it has to come from the router. When you try to connect via WiFi, does it just not connect and result in a blank screen, or do you get some other message? Again, a screenshot may be useful.

Did Printed Solid replace your board already?
-
-
@Phaedrux Yes Prince solutions already replaced the board this is a new board and I'm still not able to connect USB and the Wi-Fi will not connect to duet web connect and if I do connect it loses signal and will not reconnect
-
@Phaedrux wow it's connected today so I'm going to try running some updates and level in my bed with a BL touch
-
@Phaedrux having problem connecting to duet Web connect it was working fine for the 2 weeks and I printed a calibration cube and it came out pretty good I had to take two weeks off to take care of my dad and now I'm trying to reconnect to duet web connect and now it will not connect I tried turning off the board turning it back on I tried turning off the computer rebooting the computer several times I tried turning off Wi-Fi and turn it back on no matter what I do it will not connect to the wet web connect
-
Can you remind me if you were able to get a USB terminal connection going through the YAT software?
-
@Phaedrux no I had never had been able to connect via USB since I got the board I had to add a file to systems with my Wi-Fi information I haven't tried that yet this time I figured it was working fine when I last used it but now it doesn't work at all no matter what I do I cannot connect to duet web connect
-
Were you connecting to the DWC by an IP address?
It's possible that after a few weeks the IP address lease from your router has expired, and the IP address the Duet has now is different.
The only way to check this is to either connect by USB terminal to ask the Duet what IP address it currently has and to see if it's otherwise working, or to connect to your wifi router and see if the Duet has connected and what IP address it is using now. This is also the place where you would tell the router to reserve that IP address for the Duet so that it doesn't change in the future. This is called a DHCP reservation, but may have a different name on your router.
Having a working USB connection to the Duet is very useful in cases like this, so I would suggest going through the guide I linked again and seeing if you can get YAT to connect to the Duet. Figuring our how to reserve the IP address in your router would be a good next step.

@Phaedrux I did reserve a IP address in my router for the duet board on my screen when I go under settings it shows that IP address and the screen connects to that router number
