C r six max conversion

I need some general assistance. I have a Creality CR6 max that I want to totally reconfigure. Do to all the problems they have. I basically wanna reconfigure the entire system. But I need some suggestions on what mother board in software. I could use because I want to run a minimum 5 stepper motherboard, because most of these 3D printers don't have independent Z. Axis stepper motors. And on the larger format printers that's essential to get good med leveling techniques produced.
Basically, I'm just gonna use the reality. CR6 max platform Any suggestions On which mother board infirm where I should use -
Duet 3 6HC should do they job.
The most recent firmware is 3.4.6 but 3.5.0 is pending.

@wmheersema how much current do the stepper motors on that machine need? Unless its higher than is usual for consumer level machines, a Duet 3 Mini will be sufficient.
