Beneficts/drawbacks voltage in step motor

Hi,

a concept i have not clear….

When a step motor has more torque? (With high or low voltage)

and...

What beneficts or drawbacks have if a step motor is powered with low/high voltage?

When using constant current drivers, which are what we always use in 3D printers:

• The motor torque at low speeds is determined by the motors and by the current you set them to. The driver voltage doesn't effect the torque at low speeds.

• As you increase the speed, there comes a point at which the motor torque starts to reduce. This point depends on the motors and on the driver supply voltage.
