      Just about to add my limit switches on my CNC (X, Y, Z)

      I've read a fair bit online and it seems better/safer to wire them as NC instead of NO?

      Can I also confirm I'm wiring them correctly on my Duet3 6CH board

      I0_1/2/3

      3.3V = NC
      GND = Gnd

        Yes NC is better.

        That way the two wires are shorted together thus making interference from another source of electrical noise very unlikely.

        You want to connect the switch NC connection to the board I/O GND and the switch COMMON connection to the board I/O io#.in connection.

        Configure the input for active high.
