@elmoret Awesome, I just ordered

@dc42 Hello;
I just installed the latest firmware RC1. On my machine it disabled the 1HCL boards and then I installed the v0_3(1) driver and it made my X axis drive into the limit switch and then drive to the end of travel where it stopped. I rolled back to 3+1 and it is working fine with the latest MB6 and web control -
@supertb1 please see my earlier post in this thread and use the updated files at https://www.dropbox.com/sh/2dt7sbqpx6l74np/AADn4-lpcil1iqnWKkiVri3Ia?dl=0.
-
@dc42 What is the difference between the 1HCL.bin/.map and the v0_3.bin/map?
-
@supertb1 the v0_3 version is for version 0.3 EXP1HCL boards (it has to be renamed to remove the V0_3 suffix). The other is for the version 1.0 boards.
-
@dc42 OK so the .3 version was for the original beta boards, and the 1.0 is for the production boards that are being sent out now. I will give these a try and get back to you
-
@t3p3tony we confirm the first batch of 1HCL has just arrived here at Compass DHM projects!
Shipping all over Europe: https://www.dhm-online.com/schede-di-controllo/7869-duet-3-expansion-1hcl.html
The ones already back-ordered will be ship out today. -
Hey
Short question. Layer shifts are coming from bad tuning?
I have hysteresis about 0.25 on the x axis and I have layer shifts. Can this be the reason or do I have to show my g.code?
Thanks a lot
Richard -
@gruna-studio can you start a new thread about this. It would be helpful to know the configured closed loop parameters and PID settings you are using. There is an updated release of the tuning plugin that should work with 3.4 RC1 (https://github.com/Duet3D/Closed-Loop-Plugin/releases/tag/v3.4-rc1), please post the step tuning move outcome as well.

@t3p3tony
Ok. I'll open a new thread
Thanks a lot -

@t3p3tony
Hey
I think I'll try it with different timing.
I use the suggested nema 17 from stepperonline. Can you provide me your M569 T ?
I'm a bit frustrated
KR
Richard -
@gruna-studio I am using the default step timing (i.e. no T parameters in M569)

@samlogan87 stall detection should work in open loop mode, however RRF cannot yet use stall homing for motors connected to expansion boards.
-
@dc42 bugger. Thanks for that. Any idea when it might be implemented
-
@samlogan87 we're planning to implement it in RRF 3.5.
Note, stall homing is less accurate than homing using a switch; so not recommended if you want to support resume-after-power-fail.
