Toolboard with built in accelometer +SBC - failed promise
-
Could you please tell me when Tooboard v.1.1 with accelometer +SBC will work properly.
It was supposed to happen with the release of RRF v.3.4. As we know we have now version 3.4b1 and unfortunately there is a problem with the M956 command - at the same time over a week ago there was an information published that this problem is fixed and it should be published in an updated version on Thursday last week. Unfortunately I cannot find such a published update. It is a little frustrating because I originally had toolboard v1.0 and after finding out that version 1.1 has a built-in accelerometer I bought a new one - unfortunately as for now it was a waste of money. -
@cadetc
that's surely frustrating, but in the meantime you can use the 'caliper' method to calculate the resonance frequency. It's described in the Wiki. Later, when it works via sensor you already have a starting point and don't have to guess, what the sensor-graph wants to tell you. -
No promises have been broken, v3.4 has not been released yet. The release of all beta software is taken as read that its not the released version and is a work in progress. I think your expectations and understanding is flawed.

Are you a member of the develepor team.- If not, then the post was definitely not directed at you. If someone writes that the problem has been solved - "I've got a fix ready for M956, too." and that he plans to release an update in two days - "Yes, I hope I can do another prerelease on Thursday as I won't be available tomorrow." (these are forum responses to my questions given over a week ago ) then how should I treat such information????

@cadetc we expect to release RRF 3.4beta 2 within a few days, and that will include the fix for CAN-connected accelerometers + SBC.
We were originally going to defer all accelerometer support to RRF 3.4, but it just happened that we started shipping v1.1 of the tool board before 3.3 was released, and we had the support code working in standalone mode already. So we decided to include that support in 3.3 even though it didn't include support for SBC mode.

@cadetc @Arnold_R_Clark you might like to try the new RRF internal build at https://forum.duet3d.com/post/242317. I think it should work with accelerometers on tool boards even without the DSF update, however have not tested that. Test it with care, because input shaping is still being debugged.

Thank You I' ll try it, I'll be sure to add my observation.
