Connecting and configuring filament-out sensors

Hello everyone,
Is it possible to use this kind of sensor to make an end-of-filament sensor.

thank you -
Some filament is transparent to infrared.

That type of sensor might work with opaque filaments if you can guide the filament accurately enough so that it blocks the beam. You may have to change the values of the resistors on that board to make it work reliably on 3.3V, see the wiki page on endstop switches for details.

Hello,
Thank you for your answers.
It is the same sensor that I use on my printer currently, so it must operate in 3.3V.
According to you what command line I should write knowing that outputs E0 and E1 are free.
Desolate for all these questions. -
If you want to use the new filament monitor support in firmware 1.19, then see https://duet3d.com/wiki/G-code#M591:_Configure_filament_sensing. You will need to use P2 in that command for that type of sensor.

Thanks David,
But my sensor does not detect the clear filament, I will have to find another sensor.
