I'm not sure what you mean by 'post your config.g'.
It means can you copy and paste the contents of your config.g file here so we can see what it's configured to do.
If there is a password set, it would be defined in config.g.
Everything in RepRapFirmware is configured by gcode commands. config.g is just a list of all the commands needed to define your printer at startup. Without config.g it wouldn't do anything.

Good news and bad. I went through the sd card and found that for some reason the latest files didn't copy. I'm sure I must have messed up. Now I seem to be connected, if I send an M115 I get a good firmware response.
Next challenge, the setup instructions on the website
https://duet3d.dozuki.com/Guide/Ender+3+Pro+and+Duet+Maestro+Guide+Part+3:+Commissioning/39
want me to go through several steps to ensure everything is working correctly, but the web control is very different from that in the directions. I don't see any of the same menus. -
Here's my current config file

If you still have access to DWC. Upload this zip file in the system tab. Don't extract it first. Reboot after. Use M115 to verify the firmware has been applied. It should show 2.05.1.

For the config you can just copy and paste the text from the window.

@Yar Is that the stock ender 3 screen and encoder wheel?
Does M115 show 2.05.1 and Is the DWC version also 2.x?
https://duet3d.dozuki.com/Guide/Ender+3+Pro+and+Duet+Maestro+Guide+Part+1:+Wiring/37
Check out this series of guides on getting the Ender 3 an Maestro setup.
-
Yes, stock screen and encoder. I figured out the display and encoder, they function now.
Yes, Reprap 2.05.1. DWC 2.0.4
That's is the instruction set I've been following since the start.Going through the tests both heaters are showing fault. I double checked the wiring based on the instructions. Suggestions?
-
What exactly does the fault error message say?
M305 P0 T9880 B4185 R4700 ; set thermistor + ADC parameters for heater 0 M143 H0 S80 ; set temperature limit for heater 0 to 80C M305 P1 T9880 B4185 R4700 ; set thermistor + ADC parameters for heater 1
I think your T values may be missing a digit.
Should be
98801
The screenshots in that guide cut off the last character of that value but it's basically close to 100000.
-
Based on your suggestion I changed the value by adding a "1", so 98801. That fixed both the hot end and the bed! Thanks for that! My bad for looking at the image, not the text!
My next issue is setting up for a EZABL. I've looked at the install text from TX3D. At this point I don't want to mess up what has been done, but the printer clearly isn't recognizing the sensor isn't funtioning properly without its code. The instructions say to install config.h (appropriately adjusted) but I don't find a config.h in the sys file. Should I simply add it?
Really appreciate your patience and assistance with all this!!
-
@Yar said in Connecting to web control:
config.h
Probably means config.g which is the main configuration file for RepRapFirmware.
-
Check M588 the type of sensor "might" be wrong for abl
Once thats set and it functions...calibrate height. Procedures There are complete instructoind on how to setneverything in The duet documentation portion of this site. Hope this helps. To get to that part hit the three bars at top left for site pulldown menus look for the z-probe section there is tables with all the sensor setting for any z probe sensor
(Just in case) hope this help -
Found a post on your site
https://forum.duet3d.com/topic/8963/ezabl-z-probe-wiring-and-configuration/8
TH3D's suggested code is M558 P5 C"!zprobe.in" H3 F900 T1200. When I change the probe type as in the post to l1 for M558 the sensor seems to work fine. However, when I turn off the machine then turn it back on the sensor doesn't work, unless I put the M558 in again.Thoughts?
-
@Yar P5 is from before P9 existed specifically for the BLtouch.
-
Interesting. Like I said, as Duet's post showed, the l1 makes the sensor function. But when I cycle the power I have to reset the M558. Shouldn't that stay in memory?
-
@Yar No there is no "in memory" for the Duet. Everything is configured at boot up with config.g and can be configured manually by sending the command while it's running, but sending the command while it's running won't persist after a power cycle.
-
Ah, I'm slow, but catching up . . . slowly. So if I make the change in YAT that would put it in memory?
Since I have you, the x and y home to the front left corner. The z probe is homing slightly right of that. Shouldn't it be in the center?
