3.3b1 SBC: layer height and filament usage estimation: PathIO
-
Slices generated with PathIO don't show layer height and filament usage estimation. A sample file is included:
(A quick check shows that filament usage estimation is only listed as used volume, and I don't see a layer height marker. So this may be something pathio needs to fix, or that needs custom gcode included).
-
I've made a quick change to RRF so that this partly works in standalone mode:
It's not ideal because Pathio provides the version number and slicing date separately, so they are not shown in the "Generated by" column. However, as there have been no releases of Pathio for a long time, I don't think it's worthwhile for me to spend more time on this.
-
Agreed on Pathio being an outlier. I have one more coming, but then I'll stop, promised (-:
-
Is Pathio still a thing?
-
No. E3D officially shelved it and was looking for a buyer as of last year.

@Luke-sLaboratory Thanks. I missed that.
-
NP - i was quite dissapointed. I liked it.
-
Yes the scripting potential was exciting. Seemed to dovetail with the RRF gcode for everything philosophy.
-
@Phaedrux Yep!
They also had really neat ideas on filament/profile/tool matchmaking.
I'm sad they didn't accept my Three-Fiddy offer to buy them out

I cannot get it to run on Linux so I won't focus on adding support for this to DSF. It should be quite straight-forward once you can configure it to output the filament usage in mm or m and to generate the layer height in a comment.
