BLtouch does not work after changing to DUEX5 board
-
Where is it physically connected? Photo?
Test the continuity of the wire?
Post your config.g and the results of M122 and M98 P"config.g" -
@Phaedrux Hi!
It's connected in the PWM_1 on the Duex 5 + the "Ground" and "Z_PROBE IN" on the Duet Wifi.
I got this in my config.g:

And I got this in deployprobe.g
M280 P3 S10
And I got this in retractprobe.g
M280 P3 S90
With the duex2 board it worked, now the BLTourch lights up all the time but does not work.

post your config overwrite.

I had a fualt on my which would not finish self test after rebuilding my hotend mount which I solved by adjusting the grub screw slighty. Worked ever since .
-
The strange thing is that the red LED lights up all the time, and none of the self test/other commands work. Only thing I did was change from Duex2 to a Duex5.
-
my bl touch v3.1 was staying red on startup when it could not complete its self test. I thought it was the wiring after moving it upto the printer and extending the cables but they tested ok and after reading someone elses post they mentioned the grub screw which I had not touched. So I gave it a little adjustment turned the printer back on and it completed it self test straight away as normal. Give it a go it might work.

@Javajoeuk Ok! I will test that!
You mean the little screw on the top of the BLTouch right? -
yes be gentle.
-
@Javajoeuk Tried it with no success, it won't activate for some reason..
Any other idea? -
no sorry
-
@Phaedrux Do you find anything strange in the config?
-
can you try a different pwm port?
-
@Veti Yes of course, which heater do I need to disable if I wan to use PWM_2?
-
try 5 or 7. they are often used for bltouch

Try disabling heater 7 and use PWM5 on the DueX, that's a common combination.
-
@dc42 Thank you, I will try that!

Do I need to change anything more then this: M307 H7 A-1 C-1 D-1 ?
And remove the M307 from config-override.g -
You'll also have to update your deploy and retract macros to reference the new pin number as well.
-
@Phaedrux Should that be M280 P5 S10 then?
