Dual markforged kinematics
-
Hi!
I'm designing upgrade for my cartesian printer. First i want to do only simple IDEX upgrade, but I have place to rebuild the printer for dual markforged kinematics.
Somebody did the same way like i did:
Do you think I'll have any issue to run it on reprap firmware?
I have 2 Y motors, connected with shift to make them more powerfull, but we can treat them like one motor -
Yes, RRF supports that kinematics.
-
@dc42 I know that RRF support markforged kinematics, but IDEX in this case wouldnt be a problem?

I'm currently implementing the same kinematics, you might find this thread interesting:
https://forum.duet3d.com/topic/7796/haq-xyI'm waiting for my Duet 3 to turn up from Ooznest then I'll start the process of configuring the software. I've not used Reprap firmware so it'll be a learning curve. I'll post my configuration once its done - I'll happily accept any help going to get this up and running!

@button hi. what is the M669 G Code for this kinematics. thx
-
@cobalt Have you seen the examples here: https://docs.duet3d.com/en/User_manual/Reference/Gcodes#m669-set-kinematics-type-and-kinematics-parameters
-
@cobalt there isn't a M669 K code that describes this kinematics, so you will need to specify Cartesian or Mark Forged kinematics using the K parameter, then modify the matrix using the X Y Z and U parameters.
