I have attempted to update my firmware from 1.0.3 to 1.0.7
are those workbee version numbers?
-
@Helensdad the PanelDue isn’t connecting. Are there any lights on on the Duet? See https://duet3d.dozuki.com/Wiki/What_to_do_if_your_Duet_won't_respond
I think most likely you have erased the firmware and you’ll need to use Bossa to flash new firmware to it. See https://duet3d.dozuki.com/Wiki/Installing_and_Updating_Firmware#Section_Fallback_procedure_Num_3

What exactly did you do to update?
-
@Phaedrux I followed Ooznests procedure. I sort of have it working now, I can connect via access point on my laptop, but after downloading the combined firmware.bin file, I tell it to update, it then drops the Wifi connection and reverts back to 1.0.3...
-
@droftarts board lit up, works via wifi access point but not with Paneldue...
-
Please send M115 to get a firmware version. 1.0.3 and 1.0.7 must be oozenest provided files as they don't match the Duet RRF versions.
-
@Phaedrux yes, they are the Ooznest provided files for the Workbee CNC machine.
-
Curious to see what M115 reports.
What firmware version is on the PanelDue? Can check in the settings page.
-
@Phaedrux yat reports version 2. 02, I think, june 2019. Not near machine or computer at moment...
-
@Helensdad Paneldue still won't work properly, completely blank now....
-

completely blank now
Does it still receive power?
How is it wired to the duet? 4-wire or ribbon cable? -

Try updating the PanelDue firmware through its USB port. You may need to disconnect the PanelDue from the Duet for the firmware update to succeed.
-
@dc42 I have erased and reinstalled the firmware, I have been using the 4 wire cable for about 11 months, since I got it basically. I have just tried the ribbon cable with the same result. It lights up, all the buttons are there but don't have any effect. It I touch the card icon it says files on card 0. The settings tab works and I can invert, change colour scheme, contrast volume etc but it won't communicate with the Duet board. In the top right corner of the screen it says 'connecting' but it doesn't connect...

The settings tab works
What firmware version does it show on the PanelDue settings tab?
It looks like the workbee firmware is based on RRF 2.02.
-
@Phaedrux 1.24
-
Have you ever updated the paneldue firmware? 1.24 is the latest released in April.
-
@Phaedrux Yes, I updated it this afternoon via USB...
-
Ah I see, and no change obviously.
I know you're using the oozenest releases, but could you try updating the firmware to the official 2.05.1 release just to see if there's a change.
https://github.com/Duet3D/RepRapFirmware/releases/download/2.05.1/Duet2Firmware-2.05.1.zip
Also, could you link to the oozenest info and releases? I did a quick googling but wasn't able to find anything.
-
Here is the link to Ooznest firmware, I will trt the Duet firmware tomorrow, I have a job running now. All works ok from web interface, it even reads the card. It is just the Paneldue I have to sort now....

Normally I would suggest to replace the 4-wire cable with a new one, but you've already tried the ribbon cable option with the same result.
Which version of PanelDue is it? Which PanelDue firmware did you use to flash it? Perhaps there was a mismatch.
