but i cant connect using the ip address or the name duetwifi

If it's running as an added point then it's failed to connect to your WiFi network. You need to connect to it from a smartphone, tablet or laptop instead of to your usual WiFi router, to set up the SSID and password stored in the WiFi module. See https://duet3d.com/wiki/Configuring_RepRapFirmware_for_a_Cartesian_printer#Homing_Z_using_a_Z_probe and start in particular steps 7 to 10.

Have obtained ip address on cell phone. There is no step for entering the SSID. Unable to make work.

I think i'll just abort this procedure. I have a ir probe coming tomorrow. If i install that and then change firmware to the 1.19 beta, will i overcome the z endstop issue? Also having difficulty locating that download again. Do you have a link to it?

I'm in western Canada, not much help in these parts. My z probe arrived so maybe i'll have more success. Now if i can find that link to v 1.19 beta.
