Thread reversal
-
I have a logics problem with reversal of xy (long suspected but has not effected prints until now) I just printed a threaded piece, thread along Y axis and the threads are reversed. How do I fix this?

So if you ask your machine to move to x0,y0 does the nozzle rest at the front left of the bed?
If not and its at the back left then Y is reversed. Chnage motor direction in firmware or by reversing the motor connector (with power off). You might then need to set your endstop to be at the max end, or move it to the other end of the axis.

as a quick solution if you're in a hurry for the part would be to mirror the part in your slicer.

Unless the machine is designed with the Y axis moving left-right and the X axis moving back-front, as the Ormerod is.
If the machine is a CoreXY, then reversing the individual motor connections won't change the machine from left-handed to right-handed axes. You need to either swap the X and Y motor connections, or set one of the axis factors to -1 in the M667 command.
