@RyanP said in X/Y endstops not stopping motors, carriage grinds motor:
2.01beta1
Please update to 2.05 and you'll find your problem is resolved.
Your homing files are using H1/H2 which is not supported syntax in your very old version.

@Phaedrux Well spotted! We should get the forum software to enforce people put the M115 response in the first post of a thread...

Perfect. Thank you very much. I thought simply swapping boards would be ok. Lesson Learned.

I spoke too quickly. I grabbed another SD card and did the complete RepRap config tool again. Created a brand new SD card for this new board. Plopped it in. Again, same problem.
So I have done an SD card from scratch. And my M115 looks like this:
M115
FIRMWARE_NAME: RepRapFirmware for Duet 2 Maestro FIRMWARE_VERSION: 2.01beta1(RTOS) ELECTRONICS: Duet Maestro 1.0 FIRMWARE_DATE: 2018-06-23b1Im pretty sure that is the same as before.

Ryan,
You are still running 2.01beta, you need to update as @Phaedrux suggested
Get the files from here and upload to your Duet.

You'll need to download the 2.05 zip file from PaulHews link and upload it tot eh system folder using the DWC. It should prompt you to update the firmware.
The firmware is flashed to the board itself, not the SD card.

Fixed. Thought I did that yesterday and was perplexed by the same firmware being reported. I greatly appreciate you help. Back to printing.

I just upgraded to 2.05.1 after having the same issue. Though, before i flashed to 2.05.1 the motors were completely silent, now they make a noise.
