DuetWiFi - Can 2.4 Ghz and 5.0 Ghz WiFi use the same SSID?

There was a post on the Railcore facebook page from someone stating that their DuetWiFi wouldn't connect due to their router using the same SSID for both the 2.4 and 5.0 band. My current setup doesn't have that issue, but I'm thinking of moving to a mesh network for the house and would like to know if this would be an issue.

I use multiple routers with the same SSID as a mesh, both 2.4 and 5ghz without issue.
That's not to say every router is the same. Some seem to favour the 5ghz band. Or there may be more interference in the 2.4ghz band that causes poor performance.

The Duet WiFi only works on 2.4GHz, so a 5GHz signal with the same SSID should be invisible to it.

Great! Thanks! I'm looking at moving to a mesh system as well (Netgear Orbi). My current Asus router allows separate naming of the 2.4 and 5, which I've taken advantage of to date.
