Heating fault on heater 1, temperature excursion exceeded 15.0°C
-
Hello again,
the problem is that the hot end increase the temperature really fast and don't stop if it matches the set print temperature.
I took a look at the wiki but I didn't understand it that much.
I set up 180°C it passes the 180°C and goes higher and higher until I pushed the emergency button. it increases in maybe 15 seconds to 285°C.Some information about the printer:
Tronxy X5S
Duet 2 Wifi v1.04
PanelDue 7i
PSU 24V
Firmware 1.22.1If someone could help with that would be very kind.
Kind regards

Is the heater cartridge for 12v or 24v?

I think its for 12V. Is there something that I can do?

If you are running a 12V heater cartridge with 24V power: don't! Some may tell you that you can set a PWM limit, but it's still a serious fire risk. Buy a 24V heater cartridge.
You can tell if it's 12V or 24V by measuring the resistance. For a typical 35W to 40W heater, a resistance of about 4 ohms means 12V, and about 16 ohms means 24V.

There are no words to describe how thankful I'm for your hint. I make some research and found that "2x30W Heater cartridges (12V/24V)" I think that means it supports both so i can change the hot end and kick that tronxy shit away.
Hopefully I get my first print after that.
