Every regular message (like Layer 2, z=0.4) stays on screen indefinitely . I come back and they pile up from the bottom to the top of my browser window and I have to each one separately. How do I make them auto close?
'Do not close error messages automatically' is NOT on.

Can you post the gcode giving these messages?

M117 Layer 2, Z=0.800

Ok, now the question is, why is the slicer adding them? Was that something you setup? If so, is it possible to change from M117 to M291 and set a timeout?

Your probably have a M117 command in the layer change script of your slicer. I suggest you remove it.

I actually liked the layer change message. It was done with a Simplify3d post processing replace command. Unfortunately, their syntax is pretty limited so there's no way I can see to do it with M291 because of the double-quote characters on the P argument.
Thanks for the prompt responses.
